Having a home based business has become a reality for many people especially in the last 10 years since internet marketing has become the latest trend. This, understandably, is very appealing to those who are struggling to make ends meet, or maybe work long hours in a very stressful environment.
However many people make the mistake of thinking that it is easy to set up a home based business They believe that all they have to do is create a website and the orders will come flooding in. "Build it and they will come”. Needless to say it is not that easy, especially now that internet marketing has become so competitive. It can involve a lot of hard work and long hours setting it all up and even then it may be many months before even a small amount of money is earned and maybe years before it is possible to view hour home based business as a full time equivalent to your 9 to 5 job.
If a website is likely to be a major part of your business opportunity, then it is vital to take advice and have a fully optimized web site created by someone who knows what they are doing. Lots of newbie internet marketers fall into the trap of trying to create their own web site with little or no knowledge of what they are doing. This can very easily leave them feeling disappointed and disillusioned when they get very little traffic and subsequently very few sales. It is not unusual to find that the newbie internet marketer will then give up in the mistaken belief that it doesn’t work.

Is there a market for your product or service and what is the competition that you will need to beat in order to get custom? After completing your market research you still feel that your home based business is viable you then need to do your keyword research to find the best keywords to use in your articles so that you attract traffic to your site. The most interesting site on the internet is not likely to get as much traffic if no one is searching your keywords.

Okay, so this book won't be of use to anyone who doesn't want to start a scuba store, but I did, and this book was of course invaluable to me in reaching that goal.
