Some Ideas For Promoting Your Website On A Shoestring Budget
If you have enough determination and drive it is perfectly possible for you to succeed with an Internet business no matter how low your monthly budgethappens to bewhen you start out.I won't pretend that it will be easy. You are going to have to maintain a great degree of control and discipline. And that discipline begins with the way you spend your money.
Let's say that you want to start an Internet business working from home and that after you have paid for your domain name, a web hosting package and an auto-responder service you have only $30 a month left in your marketing kitty. It's not a lot, but you can still make thirty dollars per month go a long way in promoting your web site.
Here are some examples of what you could do with your $30 each month in order to get the best value out of it and even to leverage it so that you can get more bang for your buck...
1. Take out a subscription with InfoGoRound.com.
InfoGoRound is a PLR article publisher. It costs $24.95 each month, which I must admit is a lot of money if you only have $30 to play with.
However, you can post one article per month on the InfoGoRound members' site and for each article that is accepted, you will receive a full refundof your subscription for that month. As long as you follow the guidelines your articles will seldom be rejected.
What this means is that you can effectively get access to hundreds of well written private label rights articles that you can modify and use on your website, or blog, or turn into e-books and reports that you can offer your website visitors.
2. Distribute articles via iSnare.
For a modest outlay of just $10 you can write five articlesfor your niche market and have them distributed to hundreds of online article directories through iSnare.com.
3. Write articles for directories that pay for content.
If you write articles for article directories such as constant-content.com and associatedcontent.com, they will pay you for each article that they publish. Use the money you earn to augment your marketing budget. This can be a great way to double a $30 per month marketing budget while promoting yourself through your articles as the person to go to in your niche market.
4. Become a pro member on two or three traffic exchange sites.
Traffic exchanges offer you the opportunity to get your website seen by hundreds of people per month on a low budget.
Just about every traffic exchange our there will offer you a special deal as soon as you register as a free subscriber. Learn to anticipate these one time offers and be selective by opting for those that offer the best value. Only buy into them if you have the funds available. If the initial OTO is too expensive, pass it up and, depending on the traffic exchange, you may be made a second, cheaper offer.
Your aim with traffic exchanges should be to get people into your sales funnel viaa free offer and a sign up form (i.e. a splash page). Get them onto your auto-responder mailing list so that you can follow up with a series of e-mail.
5. Outsource directory registration.
Building back-links to your website is an important part of online promotion, but time consuming and tedious. It is a good idea to outsource this kind of job so that you can use your time more productively. For example, DirectoryMaximizer.com will post your website to 35 directories for $5, and to 100 directories for $14.
Manifestly, there's a lot you can do to promote your Internet site on a limited budget and to make your money (and time)go further.
Even so, if your budget is limited to thirty dollars per month, you won't be able to do everything you want to do in a single month. Every month you will need to reassess what your priorities are and allocate your funds accordingly or find ways to augment your budget, as I have suggested.
Once you find a marketing strategy that brings targeted traffic to your site, and once you are achieving a good rate of conversion (turning visitors into customers), you will be able to put more money into your marketing budget and spend it with confidence onthose strategies that you know will produce good results.
