Classified Sites,Helping Buyers and Sellers!

Guest post by: charles carrico

Article Overview: When I ask anyone how to buy or sell a item ,then the answer I get is through online classified sites. It’s true, buying and selling is done the most through online and it’s the easiest way. The great thing about dealing through online, is you get to communicate directly with the person buying your item or selling theirs in the Classified.

Classified Sites,Helping Buyers and Sellers!

I will use Craigslist as an example as for some of the tips
below, but the principles of the tips will apply to pretty much
all of the biz sites you are posting at or buying an item from.
Tip 1.) Don't forget the smaller cities:
The natural reaction is to first go to the
larger cities as there will be many more people listing their
items for sale. But don't forget hundreds of smaller cities that
also have tens of thousands of sellers listing items forsale.
As an example on Craigslist. Click on the state of Ohio.
You will then see that there are 12 total cities for
Ohio. You can do this for any state and will find
hundreds of smaller cities to run your biz campaign.
Tip 2.) Randomize The cities and categories you post at:
Try not to over post in any one city. It is a good idea to only do 3-5
postings in any one city at a time. Randomize the cities you are
posting at and jump around the map.
Tip 3.) Randomize the email account you are using:
You should have setup up multiple free gmail or
yahoo accounts to conduct your biz campaigns with. It is a
good idea to rotate through these accounts when you are
contacting sellers or you or trying to buy a item
on any one listing site.
Tip 4.) Dig Deep in the listings:It is a natural reaction to go to
the very firstlisting on the page when you click on a category
on one of thelisting sites. However, you are leaving out hundreds of
potential sellers who may have listed an item for sale up to 30
days ago.
I will use craigslist again as an example. When
going to Virginia and then clicking on cars and
trucks for sale, you then get to the page of cars and trucks for
sale on their site. By nature most will click on the first
listings on the page and try to contact those sellers. However,
if you scroll down to the bottom of the page, you can click on
"Next 100 Listings" which will take you to listings that were
posted up to 30 days ago (This will vary withcategories).
These sellers have obviously not sold their item
on that particular listing site even though they have had it for
sale there for weeks. They will be very open to you as a new
buyer looking for their item to make a offer.
Tip 5.) Randomize the categories you are posting at:
It is also a good idea to randomize the selling categories
you are posting at. For example, you may go to one city and
do 2-3 posts to people who who may fine your item for sale
in different categories.
Tip 6.) Don't Forget the Low Priced Items:
It is second nature tocontact sellers whose item(s) listed
have a lower price tag on them. But lets not forget the
hundreds of thousands of sellers who may be selling
something priced as higher, but they may sell
alot lower than the list price.
Tip 7.) Get creative with your ad to sell.
Always have a pre-written ad to use
when selling on the biz sites, please feel free to
get creative with the ad to the buyers. You
don't have to be an expert ad copy writer to do this. It may be
as simple as taking a ad and just editing it a little bit
when writing your own ad. Using your own unique ad or version of
a ad you find [copy and paste] can dramatically increase your results.
The more variations of ads the buyers see the more contacts you will get.
Tip 8.) Randomize the sites you post at:
While you are picking a State each day with a different site
to conduct your biz campaign at for the day, you are not
limited to doing postings at just that one site. I recommend
that you randomize the cities and categories you are
posting at any one site. We also recommend that you randomize
the sites you are posting at each day. You can always go back to
any of the previous sites you posted at from your previous biz
States you selected. It is also a good idea to spread your
postings out on any of the given sites in one day when selling.
Example: [selling] You may want to spend 10 minutes posting at
site A, B, and C in the morning. Then do 10 minutes more in
the afternoon and evening etc.
