Online Scams and Tricks:How to not get Fooled

Beware of the many ways of getting fooled into losing your money through seemingly innocent money-making schemes.

Scams are every were around you and it can be found in all area of life. But most in such areas where the risk is

greater. When working with credit cards, bank accounts numbers and other activities which involve sending or

receiving cash online,look for Tricks.

The Scam-Bank/Credit Card Email:

You get an email telling you to sign up to your bank account,or credit card through the email because your privacy is under

danger or just to receive something like a gift.Lookout- Do not sign up through the internet address they give you

in the email. If the email does make you think, get to the bank and credit card site using the address you know already

or through the search engines.

How a Scam Works?

The owner of the email know that not many will sign up,but that is all they want. When you signed up to the Trick

internet address, they got your password and user name. Now it's time for them to cashin.

The Missing person Scam:

If you have an email that says they represent a missing or dead former ruler, businessman or high-ranking official

from a Russian,African,or Gulf,Lookout. They offer you a chance to earn between two to seven percent of eight to

forty million, for your co-operation only.Don't get taken into this, for though they speak of you getting money,

they will receive cash from your account.

Why Does This Trick Work?

They will ask you for your bank details in order to move the cash and then use that to transfer a

smaller amount.Once you trust them, you will be ask for more secure and personal details they "want"

that is to get the entire amount out of your account. They won't tell you, that they can transfer

all the money from your account, theirs and yours.

The Scam,Make Money Fast

This is the most innocent of all,That is also why it is dangerous. These are so-called companies

that tell you that if you will sign up and use this system, you will make money.Do not go for such a trick.

You will get paid some money, then once trust is built, they will take all in your bank account.

Don't forget that fast money scams are the fastest way to lose all your money.

Whatever you do online,Remember that the internet is not a safe place.Use it like you would use any

business venture and keep up your guard. If you check out the companies and make it save before committing,

you can be able to guard against losing money to Scams.

Re: Kevin's Case Study #11 - A New Forum Category? Re: Kevin's Case Study #11 - A New Forum Category? - [quote:31qpen1j]This is just my opinion, but I consider the prospective categories, Online Marketing, Internet Marketing and Online Promotion, as being pretty much one and the same - just different words that different people use.[/quote:31qpen1j] I completely agree! Those are all just "internet marketing" as far as I am concerned. And I normally would have voted for internet marketing, however I chose social media marketing simply because there are more than enough IM forums out there already.
Kevin's Case Study #11 - A New Forum Category? Kevin's Case Study #11 - A New Forum Category? - Hi Everyone, 2009 is a new year and I'd like to create a new forum category to jazz things up! In the past, there's been some interest voiced about adding a "Social Media Marketing", "Online Marketing", "Internet Marketing" or "Online Promotion" category. I'll implement [u:1g2tv6tf]ONE[/u:1g2tv6tf] of those new categories, but can someone first tell me what the difference would be between the existing "Marketing" section and one of those new options mentioned above? Thanks
Re: Should Evan add a "Social Media Marketing" category to the f Re: Should Evan add a "Social Media Marketing" category to the f - [quote="BuzzAroundBooks":p78047w2]Just as an update, Evan has extended the poll's expiration date and says he'd like to see at least 25 "yes" votes before implementing the new category. Moreover, it would probably be called "Online Marketing" instead of Social Media Marketing".[/quote:p78047w2] Okay - I have a request -- can the title be changed to "Online Marketing"? The reason I'm asking is because people may not know what social media marketing is , while that would make me vote for it to learn more, but not every thinks like that. Also, online marketing could capture more attention when people spot in on the list. Shri

SEO is just a small part of Online Marketing and that would give us some sort of place to zero in on Online Promotional posts. Shri
