5 Reasons why Having an Internet Based Home Business and being Self Employed is Great

More and more people these days are looking to the internet as a means to earn an income as the job market deteriorates and it becomes harder to find work. Having an internet based business and working from home has many advantages and in this article we will talk about five of them. So if you are one of those people who can’t make up your mind whether to become self employed and work from home, hopefully these ideas will help you to decide.

1. As your own boss being laid off is not something you ever have to worry about again. If you are the boss, you are in charge of your own decisions and this is something that anyone who has ever been in the position of being fired will think seriously about.

2. You set the rules, therefore you are the one to decide when and how long you work for each day. This does not mean that you can just sit back and relax; it takes time and effort to build a business and that means work. The advantage here though is that you choose which hours you want to work, so if you want to play all day and work all night that is a choice that you can make for yourself.

3. When you are self employed you are the one to decide when you would like to take a vacation. You are no longer dependant on getting permission from someone else, you can decide to go away on the spur of the moment and do it.

4. Spending time with family is something that many employed people do not get enough of. The hours worked when one is working in a job are set by their boss and with the time spent traveling to and from the place of employment, there are usually not too many hours left over to spend any quality time with family. As the boss of your own home based internet business this is a problem that you will not have anymore.

5. Starting a business from home gives you an unbelievable amount of freedom and the choice to make whatever decisions you want, regarding how you run your business.

If you are still employed but have a dream of becoming your own boss and having a business that you can run from home, then a good way to begin is by starting out part time.

As an internet based business can be done at any time of the day or night you can begin with working it part time and building up to full time self employment. This business can give you an extra income or become full time; the choice is entirely up to you.

These are just five reasons to consider when thinking about becoming self employed, but there are many others as well. If you want to work from home then don’t let anything stand in your way. There is nothing better than working for yourself and being responsible for your own life. Making the decision to be your own boss is something that you will never regret.

Re: Who inspired you to start? Re: Who inspired you to start? - Hi Evan, I was inspired by Mr. Bill Gates ever since I was a student learning Computers. But I was motivated for Internet as my Business, when I read his book "The Road Ahead" in 1995. It was in this book that Gates laid out his vision of an interconnected world built around the Internet. Based on the premise that life will be transformed by the convergence of inexpensive computing and inexpensive communications, Gates drew from his experience at the center of the personal computer revolution to give insights on the growth, evolution and impact of technology. I had always looked up to Bill Gates as my idol. When I read this book, it made me more focussed on Microsoft and Internet, The Internet was one of the upcoming things in this time. So I took over to the Internet as my primary business. Regards,
