Deciding on the best affiliate products to promote can be a major decision holding affiliate internet marketers back. Websites such as Clickbank and Commission Junction are usually mentioned in most affiliate training courses, but there is a good chance that you will not want to promote any of the products available there.

The great news is that there are a number of different techniques that you can use to assist you in finding the best affiliate program, especially if you have no intention of promoting an e-book or a membership site, but would rather promote a physical product.

As you are already know that websites like Clickbank don't carry the kind of affiliate programs that you are looking for we will assume that you have already researched this course;

You have learned a lot about your niche and have a fairly good idea of the kind of affiliate products that are relevant to your home business opportunity and you also know the type of affiliate products you want to promote.

With this in mind you need to begin your research and if you have not already done so, then start with a search through your favorite search engine. Type in "your online business opportunity" such as "health supplement affiliate program' and you will probably get a fair sized list of links to website the carry health products and also have an affiliate program. Although not every result you get will be exactly what you are looking for, there should be at least a good selection options.

If you cannot find the results you want on the search engines then you will need to go one step further and look at advertisements. This can be done quite simply just by checking the Adsense ads that are on the same Google page as the links you looked at. Instead of the search results; these ads will take you directly to products that match your search. When you find a few that appeal to you, look for the link at the bottom of the page that shouldl take you to the affiliate program. If you are looking at a sales page then it is a possibility that the link will not show there. If this happens to be the case you will need to go to the home page of the product and look there.

After following this step a few times you will hopefully have some possible affiliate products to promote. If on the other hand you still feel unsure then another option is to check out what your competition are doing. Take a look at some of the websites that are in direct competition to you to see what products they are promoting. This may help to give you some fresh ideas.

Alternatively you could do an affiliate product search and check out internet stores. Many of the online stores will also offer an affiliate program. If you find an affiliate program that you like then it may be worth your while to see if you can promote it directly. Usually what happens is that internet stores and home business opportunity networks take a percentage of each sale as a fee and this may affect the amount of money you will earn.

After completing all of these steps you will have hopefully found probably the best affiliate products to promote, bit if not then why not get creative and create a product of your own.

There are pros and cons to Affiliate Marketing, just as there are to any business. As has been suggested, he best policy is to proceed with caution and do some research before jumping in. As Carol has recommended, this topic thread in the EvanCarmichael.com forum is the ideal place to ask questions and seek further input on available Affiliate Marketing programs. If a person is serious about building an online business and is interested in Affiliate Marketing plans, they should approach the process as they would any other form of business. Well, I have learned from realhomebasedsuccess dot com that there are home based business opportunities and ideas that could be our option such as: -Selling Goods or Providing Services Online -Making Money through Direct Marketing -Becoming an Affiliate Marketer -Getting Paid on a Click Thru but I was thinking which is the best one and most effective in terms of generating consistent Ongoing Profits. What do you think? do you have any insights?
