Discover the Benefits of Applying User Generated Content to Your Online Income Business

Applying user generated content has grown by leaps and bounds in the last few years but it is still something that many online business people with home based business do not make use of with any sort of regularity. This type of content offers numerous benefits for both the business owner and at the same time is beneficial to the community of readers that is being created.

There are a variety of different ways that user generated content can be obtained. Originally it was found mainly on forums or through blog comments but since the increase of social media it can now be found across the internet.

Here are three reasons why user content can be so vital to your legitimate online income business and how it can help you to build a more credible and trustworthy internet presence.

1. The main reason that so many webmasters try to encourage their visitors to leave comments is because it adds to the unique content on their websites and this personalizes their website considerably.

When a visitor leaves a product review or a comment on your website this will add to the value that other readers get which in turn can lead to even more user generated content. The one thing that will make any website stand out from the crowd is having unique content. There are just so many online income business websites on the internet today and so many of them have the same content that one website that appears to be unique will definitely become more successful.

2. A second reason why user generated content is so important is that it helps to build relationships. Although it is important to be known as an expert in your niche it is just as necessary to build a relationship with your readers. If your visitors feel that their opinion is unimportant to you, or that you do not respect what they have to say there is little chance that they will trust you.

By allowing others to voice their opinion and valuing what they have to say you will build solid relationships with your website visitors and find that your online income business will become far more profitable.

3. The third reason to consider when it comes to the value of user generated content is that it is free.

Content creation is a business all on its own. Because it is such an important part of all legitimate online income businesses there are people whom you can hire to create unique text, video and audio content for your website and there are companies who will even handle the content for the social media aspect of your business. All of this content costs money if you hire someone else to do it for you or time if you are doing it yourself. On the other hand user generated content is free and all you really need to do is to monitor and ensure that it applies to your online income business niche and that none of it is offensive to anyone who may visit your website.

So from this you should be able to see that encouraging your readers to participate and add their reviews and comments to your online business website will benefit you in numerous ways and will add value for all your visitors as well which turns this into a win-win situation for all.

Re: Is YouTube Going Commercial? Re: Is YouTube Going Commercial? - [quote="Alan Mater":e47a61ur]I think it's safe to say that YouTube is going more commercial and providing ways for advertisers to take advantage of User Generated Content.[/quote:e47a61ur] But I think YouTube should also consider that what's best for them (i.e. earning advertiser dollars) may not be what's best for their users. There has to be some sort of balance or YouTube will lose both advertising revenue and its customers. How can a social networking site like YouTube earn money from sponsors without being too intrusive in the "user experience"?

When people are looking for entertainment they do not want to be bombarded with advertising. MichelleJ

Don't they already have one example of this in place? Google Adsense video units is the one I'm thinking of. Basically a YouTube ad or commercial from their partners placed on webmasters' sites.

It was somewhat annoying. I'm not sure how other people feel about it, but after a while of watching videos with commercials I bet they would get quite annoyed. Most videos are for entertainment purposes, and incorporating commercials within those videos defeats the purpose.
