1. Think Carefully About the Choice of Domain Name.

A mistake that is made by many online affiliate marketers is to choose a domain name that will also include a product name. Taking this step can be helpful in getting your website ranked more quickly and could even give you some organic traffic as well. There is a disadvantage to this picture, and that is that it can cost you you in website sustainability.

If this product loses popularity or becomes unmarketable then your website is going to lose whatever value it may have had. By choosing a domain name that is linked to the niche of whatever product you have chosen to promote, your website will have far more flexibility as time goes on. What this means is that if you decide to switch products and promote another one in the same niche, all you need to do is plug in the new offer.

2. Create Content that is Timeless.

Although it is essential to share new content with your readers, there are many webmasters who spend time only creating content that is relevant for the current time or at most for a few months ahead. If you intend to keep your legitimate online business website running and offering products for many years, then it is vitally important that you create articles that will stand the test of time.

When you create articles of this type you will have an opportunity to build links to the things that your readers will always want to read. Creating only product specific content that will be useful for a short while will mean constantly having to add more content to build more links to your website. The first problem is that the affiliate marketer will have dead links on their website which will affect their page ranks in the search engines and secondly they will have to make changes to all their links manually, which is a tedious and time consuming job.

It is easy to avoid this by planning ahead and setting up the type of links that can be automatically updated. There are a variety of ways that this can be done, for example using addons or commercial plugins or software. Some internet marketers say that the simplest method is to cloak affiliate links and when a product needs to be removed they just need to upload a different landing page to replace the one that was there. Whatever method you decide on, so long as you plan ahead when first setting up your legitimate online business website, it does not need to be difficult for you as an affiliate marketer.

Re: How do you budget your life? - I agree that the Tithe 10% and Personal Long Term Savings 10% have been the most consistent percentages for me over the years. The Richest Man in Babylon is a book that really helps nail that point. there's something subconcious about knowing that you're not just working to pay the bills. You're actually creating a long term quality lifestyle and significant retirement for you and your family. The other percentages have shifted over the years but those number have been constant.

Long tail keywords often rank easily in SERP. You can also use Ad word Keyword tool for keyword selection. Keyword having less competition and high monthly search volume are easy to rank.
