You do, however, need to think about than just setting up a blog and posting regularly to it. To really be successful it is essential to also use social networking sites to make people aware of your blog posts.

I am sure that by this stage you are well aware of the popularity of social networking sites and one of the main reasons that you should be using them as a part of your internet marketing business is that so many people visit these sites regularly for their main source of gossip and news.

There are many social sites such as Digg or Stumbleupon where you can submit your blog posts and there are literally millions of people who spend time visiting to keep up on news and sharing content who will be able to read and vote on the content you are producing. If they enjoy what they read and if an article is popular enough it will get to the top pages in these various social sites and will be seen by millions of people.

The good thing is that even if your blog post does not get any votes you will still be getting the benefit of adding more one way links to your blog from each social networking site that you post to, so this really is a win-win situation for you. Submitting your posts to these social networking sites is really simple to do as more often than not it is just a matter of clicking a button.

A further benefit that you will gain from regularly blogging and submitting your posts to these social sites is that you will become better known online which will help to brand you as an expert and you will probably find your internet marketing business website being listed well by the search engines.

Just a word of caution though, don’t try to take on too much when it comes to social networking. If you try to submit your posts to too many social networking websites you will become totally overwhelmed by the vast number of sites that are available online.

It would probably be far better to choose ten or twelve of the best social networking sites and concentrate your marketing efforts on these. The rest of the time you could maybe make the occasional post to if you want to maintain some sort of presence there.

By remaining focused and keeping a disciplined approach to your blogging and social networking tasks you will get a lot of exposure to your internet marketing blog and your business will grow.

Re: Kevin's Case Study #11 - A New Forum Category? - Hi Kevin, Like GT suggested, I also think you can add Internet Marketing as a sub category in the Marketing section and also a Social marketing as subcategory. Online marketing/internet marketing/online promotion are the same, and it will be best to use the common term - Internet marketing. I can't think about someone to moderate a Social Marketing category. We all use it, we all know how to make it work and we all have our own different experience with it.

After you learn in.. Start with the basic SEO techniques: - Web Directories Submission - Classified Ads - Social Bookmarking - Forum Posting - Blogging - Article Submission Then the rest follows..

See one below: This Social Network has changed my life! Every night is a Friday night and everyday is a Saturday!! Because of it, I have been able to leave the workforce 10 years early.It has given me back my life. Many of us would like to retire early. I am sure there are many more. The point is of focusing with great determination. The ongoing challenge is to stay focussed and not be sidetracked into a newer scheme or so. Also I have read, during this financial turmoil, more people turn to Social Networking for various reasons.
