Internet Marketers....Blow Your Own Horn!

The most successful Internet marketers know that in order to grow their business they have to unashamedly promote themselves. A penchant for self-promotion is one of the most useful skills that an Internet marketer can possess. If you are shy, timid, or don't like to see your name in print, perhaps Internet marketing is not an undertaking that you should pursue. Conversely, by aggressively and continuously promoting oneself, an Internet entrepreneur can create the kind of buzz necessary to achieve dynamic success. One of the ways to do self promotion online is by issuing a steady stream of press releases regarding your business, your opportunity, your products, and anything else that can be deemed even remotely newsworthy. By creating a well-written press release, and distributing it across the Internet using various press release distribution services, the Internet entrepreneur can maintain a high profile online.

If you take this approach, you must first start with a compelling and well written press release. Grammatical errors, punctuation or spelling mistakes, and anything else that often plagues non-professional writers can seriously diminish the impact of the press release. For that reason, many Internet marketers utilize professional outsourcing firms to create and distribute their press releases.

Another way that Internet entrepreneurs promote themselves, is through the use of embedded video on their websites. By filming a compelling video that conveys a focused and coherent message, the Internet entrepreneur not only gets their message out, but also builds credibility in the process. People like to watch videos because they can see the person who is actually speaking. Even though it is happening online and electronically, watching a video can help achieve the ever important rapport between the speaker and their audience. Embedded videos are becoming increasingly popular because of their effectiveness. When building a brand online, particularly for someone interested in self promotion, online video is one of the best tools available.

Success online is there for the taking. But it does not happen automatically, and it is not necessarily easy to achieve. One must work hard at getting the word out, and be completely willing to engage in blatant self promotion. But when these things are done, dramatic success is waiting around the corner.

Re: Who inspired you to start? Re: Who inspired you to start? - Hi Evan, I was inspired by Mr. Bill Gates ever since I was a student learning Computers. But I was motivated for Internet as my Business, when I read his book "The Road Ahead" in 1995. It was in this book that Gates laid out his vision of an interconnected world built around the Internet. Based on the premise that life will be transformed by the convergence of inexpensive computing and inexpensive communications, Gates drew from his experience at the center of the personal computer revolution to give insights on the growth, evolution and impact of technology. I had always looked up to Bill Gates as my idol. When I read this book, it made me more focussed on Microsoft and Internet, The Internet was one of the upcoming things in this time. So I took over to the Internet as my primary business. Regards,
Re: Poll: Which would you live without? TV or Internet? Re: Poll: Which would you live without? TV or Internet? - Hi Evan, I have to admit that I do enjoy TV but mostly for sport or educational programs. However, I can honestly say that since I went on the Internet, it has changed my life forever like it has for everyone around the world. When I say it has changed my life, I don't mean it in a soppy way but just in everyday things like research, booking a holiday, shopping, renewing tax or driving license etc, all of which you can do online and that is before my Internet activities. Therefore I have to say in answer to the question, I would miss the TV but I would miss the Internet much more. regards, Mal.
