Home Business Opportunity? Why even the Best network Marketing System in the World Won’t Help You
In my time as a music teacher I've seen children with the potential for success leave unsatisfied because they couldn't sound like their favourite pop heroes in their first few lessons. They spend a few minutes fumbling around and expect it to just happen to them! The idea of actually practising, in order to improve, seems like asking someone to take a cold bath! Sorry, but I'd rather not! These people won't succeed. They haven't been programmed in the right way to succeed. You need to opt in to the cycle of success - the more you practice the better you get. The better you get the more you want to play. It's the same for network marketing. For the beginner there is so much to learn, you put in the consistent effort, you get the results. You can reach for your dreams if you are programmed for success and are willing to push out of your comfort zone.
I am so grateful to my Dad. I remember as clearly as if he were speaking to me now, "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again". Gems like this stay with us. I sometimes wonder what parents say to their children these days that causes them to give up so quickly. No, I'm not having a go at parents, I'm a mum myself with four teenage sons. For the past year I've faced the challenges of being a single mum with a full time job and I know it can be hard to give quality time to our children. Are we victims of the high-tech age we live in which has compounded the effect of instant gratification by feeding the senses with high action graphics and sound (another challenge to teachers who struggle to keep their focus for more than two minutes with the ever diminishing attention span)?
Another problem is how often do we think we know best? Advice is offered, we try not to listen or say thank you then straight away forget what was said. Yet we despair as parents when we see our children hurt or suffering in some way because they chose to ignore our advice. It is a choice. And choices have consequences. If you choose to ignore the good advice given to you by a successful entrepreneur, a master marketer, well - look out! Don't be surprised if you stumble and fall. But there will be mistakes - even by following all the advice you can get. What counts then is how you deal with it. What are you saying to yourself? "I've failed." "I won't make it." Or do you say, "It's a setback, I am learning from what has happened. I won't let this happen to me again" and then use what you have learnt to help other people not to make this same mistake.
The most cleverly designed, sophisticated marketing system, can help you - if you are willing to help yourself; if you get into the cycle of success; even when it is uncomfortable; if you listen to advice; if you learn from your mistakes and use your knowledge to help others. Don't forget that your attitude rubs off on those around you too. Won't it be a legacy worth leaving your children, family and friends that they have witnessed you persevere, trying and trying again? Not giving up. Not looking back. Then...reaching your goals.
