In this article we focus on attitude. To be successful in your home based business, you have to have what I like to call A Millionaire Mindset.
It may seem to some like putting the cart before the horse, but read a few books written by the guys who've made it big, like Robert G. Allen, Donald Trump, Robert Kiyosaki, Mike Dillard, or Jay Kubassek, and you'll find a common theme: to be successful you have to think like someone who is successful.
It isn't enough just to want that little red sportscar, you have to be able to put yourself at the steering wheel, feel the power in the engines as you rev it at the stoplight, smell the burning rubber behind you as you peel away. Are the G-forces throwing you against the side of the car as you round the bend on a windy mountain road?
Whether it's a dream vacation, a dream house, or a vision to help abused children, the only way you'll ever realize your dreams is to spend time dreaming them, being in them, and making them real in the deepest center of your being.
Verbalize your success out loud. State what you want as if you already have it, "I make $100,000 per month, every month!" It matters not that you don't have it yet; the power behind number three of the 10 best home based business success tools is that it shifts your consciousness from to dreams to reality. Daily recital of your goals and daily visualization will unlock the door that lets you cross thresholds you never imagined.
When you talk to people about your goals, instead of saying, "My goal is to double my sales next month," try stating it as a foregone conclusion: "I'm taking steps that will enable me to double my sales next month." Do you see the difference? Can you feel the difference?
Developing a Millionaire Mindset is a critical factor that all millionaires have in common, and they didn't find it by becoming millionaires; millionaires develop the mindset first. As Napolean Hill says in his book, Think and Grow Rich, "What the imagination can conceive, the mind can believe, the body can achieve."
Start developing your Millionaire Mindset today. It will enable you to have number four on my list of 10 best home based business success tools, which I'll cover in detail in my next article in the series: No 4 - A Big Dream That Fuels Your Engine.
