Internet Marketing Optimization Factors; Turn Your Blues Into Gold!

Free Download - 10 Best Home Based Business Success Tools – No. 3: A Millionaire Mindset By Brenda Fairchild |
Most of us don't have a clue about how successful marketing online is accomplished, or even how to get a website up and running. We select a company to partner with because we like the products they offer, they have a generous compensation plan, or they promise to show you 'step-by-step' how to market your business.
The next thing you know, you're knee-deep in internet jargon like "search engine optimization", "ezine", "long-tailed keyword", and other multiple syllable words that sound like a foreign language. You're up at three in the morning trying to write a press release when you have no idea what one is, exactly.
Once you begin to sift through and learn the terminology, you begin to realize that you need a plan that you can follow, in sequence, one piece of the puzzle, until the big picture begins to emerge.
This is exactly how you'll need to approach building an online home based business. Using what are called internet marketing optimization factors, you CAN turn your blues into gold. The key is to realize that each one takes time to accomplish, this is a long term plan, and the real key is to spend each day doing some task that will fill your pipeline and send people to your website who are looking for what you have to offer.
Several tools that I have found helpful are:
- Article marketing
- Forum marketing
- Video marketing
- Banner advertising
Each of these tools are no cost or low cost methods of driving traffic to your website, but each one is an art, and requires its own unique skill set. How do you master them? The same way you eat an elephant, my friend: one byte at a time.
Article marketing
The key to great article marketing is keywords. You have to start by learning keyword research. Then you have to select a topic, write the article and know where to submit that article to actually get some results for the time you invested doing all that.
Forum marketing
The key to great forum marketing is to find the forums that are relevant to your business, and then create a mindset for helping people. Posting to forums is like being in a networking club; it is a gathering place where people with similar interests share ideas and encourage one another in whatever endeavor is their common thread. It is not a place to sell yourself, but rather to focus on helping like minded people by sharing your knowledge and experience, and in turn you can glean the knowledge and experience of others who have gone before you. This internet marketing optimization factor works because you will get more than you give, naturally.
Video marketing
Of course we see the YouTube videos every day on the national news channel. Guess what, folks? If you aren't on YouTube, you are living in the dark ages. The most successful online businesses are making it big because they have a presence on YouTube. YouTube, once you master the ins and outs of how it works, is a fantastic way to put your face and your story in front of millions of people all over the world. You owe it to yourself to learn how to make use of this venue. It is one of the biggest internet marketing optimization factors out there.
Banner advertising
You see them on all the search engines, and a vast majority of the websites you visit online. A narrow bar at the top of the screen flashing out some eye-catching phrase or image. Once you click on the banner it takes you to the website of the advertiser where you can learn about and buy their product or service. Most of us find them distracting and annoying, but the fact is, most of us have also clicked on more than our share of them because their annoyance factor gets our attention and peaks our curiosity. Learning to write and market banner ads can be the golden egg for your business if you master the art of good banner advertising.
I know I have only scratched the surface here when it comes to internet marketing optimization factors. Like teaching physics to a first grader, you cannot expect to do differential equations when you don't even know what a coefficient is. You have to start with the basics, one concept at a time. Don't let yourself get overwhelmed. Start with article marketing, find books and articles to read that explain what it is exactly, and how to do it, literally step by step. Remember that if you are new to this game, each step will be a learning process in and of itself. Focus on each step, learn and understand it, practice it, than move on to the next step. Doing your homework and walking through the learning curve now will ensure your success in the long term.
Carbon Copy Pro is a fantastic marketing system that offers in depth training on these internet marketing optimization factors along with several other techniques.
