Setting up internal linking within a website is very simple. All you need to do is take several of the different keywords that in your content and setup a hyperlink that links to other pages within your website that are related to these specific keywords.

It's very important to take your specific keyword and make it into a hyperlink rather than posting several different url's within your articles. The search engines pay special attention to the number of keywords that link to the different pages within your site and url's don't carry as much weight with them.

On top of your internal linking efforts you'll want to link to external sites as well. This is especially important if you have additional sites that you own or want to promote. If you setup links that point to your additional sites then it will help to build credibility and drive traffic to those sites. The search engines pay special attention to the amount of backlinks that point to a particular site.

The search engines put a heavy amount of weight on the number of links that point to a website. If there's a lot of backlinks that point to a particular website then that shows the search engines that the website is important and relevant.

So on top of setting up internal links make sure you link to other sites you that you want to promote as well.

If you are running your website on WordPress then I highly recommend using a plugin called Seo Pressor because it will remind you to set up an internal link on every post. Also, Seo Pressor will make sure that you set up h1, h2, and h3 tags on every post, add rel="nofollow" to external links, add an image with alt tag set to your keyword, and it will automatically bold, italicize, and underline your keyword. These are all critical elements to follow in order to achieve top seo rankings.

If you link to several different pages within your website then your website will look more credible and important with the search engines and your prospects.

Meaning, are they actually looking for what you have to offer, and if so, are they finding it. Proper keyword research and testing will help you bring in targeted leads from the search engines. I think this will help you get that first customer and keep bringing in more and more customers.
