MLM Marketing versus Attraction Marketing -- Who Wins?

Written by: Bill Palte

Article Overview: In traditional MLM companies, the marketing program hasn't changed in years. People who join an MLM opportunity are instructed to contact family and friends to "convince" them that this new opportunity is the answer to all of their financial problems. Next they are told to make a list of "acquaintances" - at LEAST 100 or more people - and present this new goldmine opportunity to them. The acquaintances will then eagerly hand over their hard earned money to become part of this money making endeavor.

MLM Marketing versus Attraction Marketing -- Who Wins?

In traditional MLM companies, the marketing program hasn't changed in years. People who join an MLM opportunity are instructed to contact family and friends to "convince" them that this new

opportunity is the answer to all of their financial problems. Next they are told to make a list of "acquaintances

" - at LEAST 100 or more people - and present this new goldmine opportunity to them. The acquaintances will then

eagerly hand over their hard earned money to become part of this money making endeavor. After the first two steps,

they are encouraged to go to the local shopping center and distribute flyers to everyone they contact. They are told

these people will also eagerly hand over their money to join this new found wealth opportunity.

Then reality strikes.

After spending months and usually hundreds of dollars, the eager, new MLM convert is angry, broke, and discouraged

because people have avoided him like the plague. Unfortunately, this happens to too many people way too many times.

Fortunately, a new system is changing the MLM playing field FOREVER.

This system is called Attraction Marketing.

The premise is actually quite simple. Have people search for you instead of you searching for them. This concept is

not new. For years, sales people have been taught to identify the need of the customer, show how the customer will

benefit in resolving a problem in their life or business, and the customer will become the buyer. When your product

solves a problem for the customer, you are helping him fix a problem.

Now he may not be aware he has the problem, but your job is to show him how you can help him by getting him to

build trust in YOU. If you are not deemed to be trustworthy, you will not succeed. When you present a compelling

need, from the prospective customer's point of view, he will begin to think of ways to resolve the need. If your

marketing presents solutions to his need and he trusts you, you now have a customer. He will come to you and

purchase your product or service because you identified his need AND gave him a solution.

The old school MLM companies have not figured this out yet.

Fortunately, this presents a unique and very profitable situation for you. When you learn the correct way to market to

your prospective customers, you days of chasing prospects will be gone forever. Customers will come to you, money

in hand, to buy your product or service. You will be able to join the 3% of marketers who actually make money.

Imagine what your life would be like if customers continuously presented their money to you. The lifestyle that you

always thought was possible will materialize in front of you. Then your friends and family will come to YOU and ask

about your "new" life. According to someone whose name I can't remember - "Success is the best revenge".
