Are you Thinking about Starting a New Franchise, Retail Outlet or other Business Venture?

If you are thinking of leaving the world of being an employee behind and joining the ranks of the entrepreneurs, small business owners and self-employed there are a few things you should consider before taking the plunge. There are an incredible array of business opportunities out there and they are structured in many different ways. You could be thinking about buying into a franchise, or perhaps you are considering opening a retail outlet, or maybe offering a service or wholesaling and marketing a product. I have had experience being an employee and have also been an owner of a retail outlet so I understand what the advantages and pitfalls of these are. I have experienced the pain of lack of foot traffic into the store and the financial stress of trying to cover extensive overheads in tough times. Before you jump into any of these I suggest you take a look at the lucrative field of home based online marketing as a serious option.

Here are a few reasons why:

If you have a family you get to spend valuable time with them. You get to see your kids grow up. You can see them off to school and be there for them when they get home. You are free to attend any after school events you choose to.

The startup costs are relatively small. If you have a computer, a fast internet connection and a phone you are ready to go. To buy a franchise or set up a retail business takes a massive investment which means your return on investment will be low for an extended time.

There is no recession on the internet. The one arena that has completely ignored the economic meltdown is the online marketing business. The growth within the company I work with is simply astonishing.

Financial freedom. With high upfront commissions on a highly sort after range of products and a potential billion and a half people in the market, the speed with which you can achieve great results is unique to this type of business.

This is the future, right here, right now. This business paradigm has captured the attention of the most successful entrepreneurs globally as they recognise an opportunity that works.

There are no overheads. You don't have any of the punishing costs of the regular business model. Insurance, power, shop-fitting, inventory, legal costs, banking costs are all major headaches in the business world. These are not relevant to online marketing business.

Staffing issues. You are the staff. You have none of the nightmares of recruiting, managing, and training staff. No personal issues, discipline procedures, staff rules and regulations.

You can operate your business from anywhere in the world. You can travel the globe and still successfully operate your business from your laptop and phone. This real freedom.

These reasons are in my opinion extremely compelling. I am fortunate to have teamed up with a group of the most successful entrepreneurs in the internet marketing world. This is essential to guarantee results in your enterprise.

Re: Info for would be franchisers... Re: Info for would be franchisers... - [quote="Sebastien":1d29sdv1]Like Franchise Times, Franchise Update is a very practical magazine. There is no blah blah, just straight facts that anyone in the franchise community can relate to. I just want to mention that all these magazines are NOT franchisee oriented. I mean these magazines are for franchise professionals. If you're looking to buy a franchise, you won't find much information in there. To answer your question, getting published in Franchise Times was fairly easy. I don't want to brag too much but I think I am known in the franchise industry. I was the marketing guy at Franchise.com for a few years before joining my new company, the World Franchising Network. So people know me and I have a very good relationship with Nancy Weingartner, the Managing Editor at Franchise Times. I was talking with her at the last Franchise Expo South in Miami and she mentioned she'd like me to be profiled. I was like "ok, sure!". I like this franchise executive profile thing in Franchise Times as it is rarely BS. People are usually really natural in there.[/quote:1d29sdv1] Thanks for the follow up Sebastien! And I can't say that I'm surprised that networking with the right people and managing your relationships with them properly are the keys to being published. I guess the old adage holds true of "it's not who you know, but who knows you" that's important.
