This is not to say these results are not achievable in some cases but you must understand this is the exception rather than the rule. In most cases building up your business is exactly that. You have to treat it like a business and not a lottery ticket. It will take a lot of hard work and a lot of time to create a platform from which to leverage your internet marketing training. As you apply the various techniques you will find repeated action will help you improve as a marketer and the results will eventually come. This could be a matter of three months or it could take a year or longer depending on the level and intensity of your effort.

But this is the important part. Do not waver in your belief or drop off in your tenacity. This is your chance to set up a home based business which can deliver the most amazing lifestyle benefits and wealth which those in employment could never hope to attain. How many months out of your life would it be worth to reach this goal?

I had an interesting conversation with a cousin of mine at a birthday celebration the other day. He owns a business importing and selling tip trucks for construction sites and supports himself working at a dairy factory. He told me he had been working his business for a year with absolutely no sales. Friends had been telling him he was mad to persevere with this foolhardy dream and he should go and find a real job. Just like everyone else he should wake up and start thinking about his future, after all he wasn't getting any younger!

How many internet marketing business owners have heard these exact words when friends offer "helpful" advice. It is sometimes surprising how a person who has been an employee all their life, and hates their job, becomes an instant expert in business success potentiality.

Anyway my cousin had been staying on task and working hard with the belief his business is viable and guess what happened. He sold not one but three tip trucks in one week. After a year of nothing he made a profit of more than $70,000 in one week. This is exactly how it works. If you quit or ease off you are out of the race and you will prove all of the doubters correct.

In my own business I had made no sales for over 3 months. But I wasn't deterred. I knew the business and marketing system I was using was the best available and I knew that if I followed the path taught by my mentors and coaches success was just around the corner. So rather than ease off or get disheartened I became more focused and my work effort became more intense. Then much the same thing happened for me. Sales went off in one week like a string of fireworks, one after the other, and they haven't stopped since. The feeling of satisfaction which accompanies this confirmation is incredible and is a powerful impetus to master the marketing techniques which have produced great results. This is also a great mindset to share with new and possibly impatient team members. Stay the course and believe in yourself as an entrepreneur.

Re: How many mambers of this forum are also member of WF? - Hi Kevin, I have to agree with Tanny. All forums are unique in their own way, but doesn't mean that one is better than the other. What you might get out of one forum, you may not get from another. For instance, the WF focuses on Internet Marketing, while this forum focuses on Entrepreneurship. Each has their own set of benefits. I don't think you can really compare one to the other, unless of course they focused on the same topic. I have learned a lot from this forum, stuff I would never have gotten from the WF. With that being said, I've learned a lot from the WF, specifically since I need to know about Internet Marketing and running an online business. The addition of the Online Business forum here will help, and Jeff is doing a great job as moderator.

Re: Kevin's Case Study #11 - A New Forum Category? - Hi Kevin, Like GT suggested, I also think you can add Internet Marketing as a sub category in the Marketing section and also a Social marketing as subcategory. Online marketing/internet marketing/online promotion are the same, and it will be best to use the common term - Internet marketing. I can't think about someone to moderate a Social Marketing category. We all use it, we all know how to make it work and we all have our own different experience with it.
