The Concept of Giving Instead of Taking in Relation to your Online Home Based Business

It is simply amazing the incredible numbers of people who are frantically pushing a product, service or themselves onto the willing, not so willing or downright hostile users of the internet. You find that at every turn someone else is screaming "make huge amounts of cash online" or "I can make your every wish come true"! "...just trust me ... and give me your money!"

It doesn't matter what you are doing on the web someone is always on the sidebar or at the top of the page with an appeal to listen to them because only they know the secret to whatever is missing in your life. Normally the big hook is something like make (fill in your own inflated amount here) dollars in your first (fill in your super small time frame here) while doing nothing and not spending any of your hard earned money...right!

Just spend a bit of time on any of the social media sites, join a few groups and wait for the money madness to hit. Pick me, pick me, pick me! Buy this, buy this, buy this!

It is even crazier on the network marketing sites. It feels a bit like being on the floor of Wall St except it is all on your home computer.

 I heard something incredibly refreshing today. I was listening to a conference call where two of the leaders of the company whose business system I use were talking frankly about what really drove them and what gave them true satisfaction in business. What was remarkable was that it wasn't about the large sums of money earned and the material things that the money could buy. I mean we know that money is a tool that can gain you a freedom and a lifestyle that you could not have without it. And that was not the point of the discussion. Money is great but, and this is the interesting part, when you have amassed that wealth and you have those material things are you going to feel completely satisfied?

Even with the huge financial success generated in this business it is necessary as people to have something else. To be able to give to other people is the key to making a valuable contribution to society and I don't just mean donating to a cause or charity even though these are admirable things to do. I mean to be able to share your expertise and to be able to coach and mentor people so that they can achieve the same amount of success you have had and to have the amazing feeling of watching someone you have helped make it all the way to the top is a wonderful feeling.

To quote one of the leaders in the call "what you give is what you get!".

Simple as that.

Think about that feeling when someone gives you a gift and how good that makes you feel. Now think about how you feel when you have really thought about a gift that you know someone will love, you have tracked it down, wrapped it and now you are watching their face as they open it. No comparison is there?

It is amazing that the simple fact that giving to others not only gives great pleasure but in business it has the added benefit of bringing you great success. If you look at the very top echelon in the company I am with they are all giving tirelessly of their own time and expertise to help as many people as possible to make it.

I think we can all take inspiration from all of these leaders and follow the example set. If we think about helping others succeed more and think less about our own gains everybody can reach a level of success that would not happen otherwise.
