What Are Some Of The Reasons Why You Should Be Relying On A Travel Agent?

Guest post by: Shafi Farooqui

Article Overview: A Travel Agent has contacts with destination specialists and tour operators which helps them to plan a tour effectively. Traditionally, after getting in touch with the travel agents, generally customers had to ask for a quote. Even today almost all of the travel agents offer information about vacation packages, hotels as well as tickets. However, there are limits to the amount of information that is given out by them. A travel agent has at his disposal cost of air-ticketing, rates of some of the hotels and vacation package deals of different range to cater to the tailored needs of individual customers. Customers can find valid information about availability of dates, accommodation facilities etc. Thus not much time is devoted for availing such basic information.

What Are Some Of The Reasons Why You Should Be Relying On A Travel Agent?

Are you arranging a vacation? A travel agent can definitely be your best guide in this case. From hotel reservations, to renting a car for sight seeing, you can fully rely on the agents for taking care of every detailed aspect of your vacation. With boom in internet technology, more and more travel agents are emerging in the field of online marketing and attracting attention of the travelers by offering attractive discount packages on holiday packages.

Customers can find valid information about availability of dates, accommodation facilities etc. Thus not much time is devoted for availing such basic information.

The Travel Agents these days charge from the customers upfront travel arrangement fee when the customers request for preparations. This way the customers can opt for customized travel arrangements. The agents generally put forward different kinds of options from which they can choose.

So while you are getting in touch with a travel agent make sure you are furnishing your name as well as full contact details to them. The agents generally don’t take your matter seriously unless you offer them wit the contact details they ask for.

You must have faith on the travel agent and give him the responsibility of planning the entire tour. This way you can be assured of the fact that you are not missing out on any of the attractions in that area. Apart from this you can also avail of some of the best deals on hotel accommodations and airfare if you rely on the tour planned by your agent.

If you are going for some luxury accommodations, you can avail of attractive discounts as you get in touch with the agents. If you are dealing with a genuine agent, he will not be interested in charging you high rates. He will try his best to custom-make a better trip experience in every possible way.

It is very important that you understand the difference between Destination Specialist and a travel agent. The agents basically make use of online reservation systems for booking vacation packages, hotel as well as transportation facilities. They offer different ready-to-sell offers by getting in touch with suppliers in the field. Bookings with these agents are relatively simple, all you need to do is fill-in the dates of travel and your name.

Hence, you can see that as you get in touch with the travel agents, all your concerns regarding vacation plans can be put to rest.

Re: Looking for business partners in travel and telecom areas Re: Looking for business partners in travel and telecom areas - Michael, In order to help I would need more detail. Travel and Telecom are pretty broad categories. I develop and design websites and I could help but not without a lot more information on what niche's your targeting. For example are you trying to just target people in and around Chicago or the whole United States.
Re: Bad SEO techniques? Re: Bad SEO techniques? - There are few more techniques which also known as the Bad SEO Techniques or Black Hat SEO Techniques. Such as: - Relying on keyword metatags - Purchase Links (From Spamming or blacklisted sites or doing purchase links on high level for site marketing) - Horde Page Rank: This is one of my favorites, because it's one that most webmasters don't understand yet. This is because it changed over the past year or two. The concept people have in their mind is that page rank is a key part of site rankings and linking to other sites "leaks page rank" from your site. However, the world has changed. - Swap Links: Another oldie, but not goodie. Search engines want links to represent endorsements. Swapped links represent barter, and they are trivial to detect. Don't swap links for the purpose of building page rank. It's a waste of your time - Implement duplicate content - Use Session IDs on your URLs - Use lots of Javascript - Implement your site in Flash

I have one question, though. How would one implement Session IDs for a URL, and what benefit would come from doing so?

The search engines don't pay much attention to keyword metatags, and using javascript/flash just means the search engines can't "read" it (so if your menu is javascript, for instance, the search engine won't see any keywords you might have in there.)
