- The Marketing System - Is there a system in place that you can leverage and not have to chase your friends and relatives around trying to convince them to buy into your program? This may have been the "way to go" with the businesses of the past, but with the internet around this will not be a viable option for you and it will save your relationship with your friends and family anyway. Another question that you can ask is if the system can be marketed worldwide and how many countries is it currently in?
- Charitable - Does the company give back to the community? A legitimate company knows that this is a requirement to be successful, the philosophy is that the more you give, it comes back to you ten fold.
- Compensation Plan - Does the company have a good compensation plan? Do they have a strong residual income on the back end of their opportunity? This is key for the company to be able to stay around long term, a strong residual income on the back end will attract alot of serious entrepreneurs to their opportunity.
- Training - How solid is the training that this company provides to the new entrepreneurs coming into their organization? The stronger the training, the easier it will be to keep people long term in their opportunity.
- Products - Does the company have a unique product that appeals to alot of people? The products are what make the company who they are, a good unique product that appeals to the masses will definitely keep this company moving in the right direction for years to come.
In summary, these are just some of the things that you need to look for and ask questions about when researching a legitimate home based business. If the company that you are looking at joining has all of these characteristics, they're more than likely a legitimate company that will do well for themselves and be a good opportunity for you to join. Keep in mind, a legitimate home based business will also have a decent upfront investment that you'll need to look at before taking the plunge, but if it has all of these traits is probably well worth the investment.
