It is not to late for a career revelation - professional to successful entrepreneur.

In today's economic environment, changing careers might seem like an unstable decision. Truthfully, you have to examine if you are cut out for a transition, and if you have the mindset it takes to succeed. A job is not necessarily stable anymore. YOU have to be the stability in your economic future.

I came from the corporate world, having worked at all levels that lead into a management-director level career. I will tell you that your greatest hurdle with a career shift from employee to business owner is to spend time on things that will pay you.

Just because you show up at your business does not mean you will get paid. As a business owner, your time is best served by doing marketing 80% of the time. It is easy if you know how.

The first step to see if you are cut out for a career change. You want to look at what you want out of life. Ask yourself these questions.

- Do you see yourself doing this job over the next twenty years?

- Do you feel you are getting paid what you are worth?

- Do you get to spend time with the people who matter the most?

- Do you have time freedom to do things you really want?

- Do you surround yourself with people that bring you up or are they people who drag you down?

- If money were not a problem, how would you spend your day?

The second step is to examine your answers. If you aren't happy about the answers, and don't have a smile about your future, you owe it to yourself to consider other options.

The third step is to examine what it takes to make a career change, empower you to own your own business and work from home living the dream lifestyle you have planned.

- You will need to identify opportunities that will develop you as a successful entrepreneur. 95% of all new businesses fail, you want to avoid those mistakes, and leverage the success of others.

- You will need to apply yourself to taking actions daily, and take 3-6 months learning new information, and new skills that will shift your mindset from employee to successful entrepreneur.

- You will need an education platform that will teach you how to leverage the largest market in the world, the internet. Leveraging the internet is critical for any business today. It is THE vehicle for all successful business owners. You will learn how to market online and bring customers to you, and have a integrated sales system that works for you 24/7.

The fourth step is to commit to your decisions, and invest the time, money, and passion into your new venture. This step is critical to your success. Many people are skeptical whether they can become a successful entrepreneur. You have to decide you will, and do what it takes.

Look at those around you, most would rather watch TV than invest time into being a successful entrepreneur. You have to decide what kind of person do you want to be.

Most people will not consistently invest the time it takes to learn a new skill set even if it will allow them to write their paycheck for life. Are you different?

Most people will also hoard their money in fear of losing it to the wrong decision. Any business owner will tell you that you have to invest, if it is a worthy profitable business.

It is up to you to do your due diligence to find a successful business model that will give you up to 80% profits, with a proven track record.

Not all businesses, and business models are created equal. You want to find a business that will teach you, support you, and give you high profits.

If freedom and large incomes is what you desire, you will want a business model that leverages the internet with an integrated sales system. You will be able to work from anywhere in the world, and have it work for you while you are doing other things.

Your passion and desire will drive your constant pursuit of success. If you combine your passion with mindset that you will be successful, and do what it takes, you will have unlimited success. Being an entrepreneur is not easy, it takes effort. If it were easy, everyone would do it.

I have been a successful corporate executive, and a successful business owner. I have also had great business failures in the past. If I were to simplify my mistakes to two elements for you to avoid it would be these two things.

1. Believe you will succeed without ANY doubt.

2. Leverage a system and the success of others so you don't have to learn from scratch. This one tip will make you successful much more quickly than on your own.

In the beginning, it is wise to build your empire part-time while you are still working. But eventually, you will want to burn the bridges, and go for it. If you use a successful business model, you will fire your boss before you know it.

Once you are an entrepreneur, you will never be able to go back to trading time for money.

We are a husband and wife team who were at the end of our rope. We had given up our six figure jobs to start a brick and mortar business and invested upwards of a quarter of a million dollars to end up with absolutely nothing at the end of a seven year push.

We had to pay off debts, and start over with virtually nothing to stand on. All we wanted was to work at home so we could raise our kids and work from anywhere in the world.

We searched for the answers on the internet. We found it! At first we were a bit skeptical and after doing our due diligence we realized that we had found an education platform that would allow us to learn, earn and turn our dreams into reality.

We ordered the system and went to work as it instructed. We had results immediately. It was simple, easy, and we could learn how to market anything, to anyone, anywhere in the world using the internet.

We haven't looked back. We have been extremely fortunate to find something that can educate us and set us up for life. We are passionate about sharing our knowledge with others who are looking for big changes in their life. Re: Kevin's Case Study #14 - When to quit being an entrepreneur? Re: Kevin's Case Study #14 - When to quit being an entrepreneur? - I'm piggy backing on your question about when to become an entrepreneur and saying the time to quit being an entrepreneur is when you lose the passion for what you are doing. Once you lose your passion, you lose the momentum you need to be a successful entrepreneur, and if you aren't being successful there is no reason to keep doing it. In fact, you probably better get off your but and go find a JOB if that's the case. There are some really fun ones out there. Like I've posted elsewhere on this forum, read the FISH books. They will teach you to have fun no matter what your job (unless your job is just making you feel physical pain.....in that case it's hard to have fun no matter what you try.)
KeywordBox.com KeywordBox.com - Thanks theFranchiseMarket - like bennyboy7, I'm a user of Google's tool (after all, if you're optimizing for Google, why not use their own database?) Further down the list are other strange keyword combinations. Have you had a better experience using the tool?

Setting a Budget For Professional Development Setting a Budget For Professional Development - Hi Louis - I think a big challenge is that many entrepreneurs don't set a budget for professional development. It's usually something companies will look at as they hire people and use as a staff retention & development tool but it's not usually the case that you'll find an entrepreneur sets a professional development budget for themselves.
Re: You don't need a degree to be an Entrepreneur Re: You don't need a degree to be an Entrepreneur - True true, you don't ned to have a degree to be an entrepreneur. However, a degree nowadays is somewhat necessary to get employed or hired in top companies. Yes, Bill Gates dodn't graduate from college, but this doesn't necessarily mean that you have to stop learning. If you want to be an entrepreneur, a very successful one, you should try to learn something new everyday. Learn from your mistakes and experiences.
