Becoming An Online Entrepreneur: Adding Musical Layers To Your Marketing

One of the things you have to do when becoming an online entrepreneur is to develop your online marketing strategy. There are many strategies to choose from. But how do you approach planning your marketing strategy? Marketing Music

Think about putting your marketing strategy together like learning a new piece of music.

In my choir at church, we have the following instruments: piano, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass guitar, drums, and of course voices. During practice, we usually review and practice each part of a song and then add it all together. So you end up putting together different parts to play the music. We're effectively adding layers to the song.

At our last practice, the rhythm guitar player's youngest son was with him. He was probably no older than 8 or 9. While we were singing, the son walked over to the bongo drums that were sitting along the wall and started playing while we were singing.

I was amazed.

He played the bongo drums so well it was like he had played them his whole life. And what was so awesome about his playing is that the extra "layer" of sound he added gave a tremendous depth to the music. That extra layer made the music more alluring, drawing you into the whole song at an emotional level.

Marketing Layers

The same idea happens with your marketing strategy. You start with one strategy. Once you master it, you learn and add another strategy. You begin to add "layers" with each new strategy and each layer adds more depth to your marketing music. Before you know it, you have a marketing master piece.

The Accumulative Effect

The additional depth of your marketing gives your marketing richness and makes you more attractive. Each layer you add is like a new part you're adding to your marketing music.

People will find you more credible, will seek you out for guidance and advice, and they may actually join you in business or purchase your service or product. The effect of adding layers of strategies to your marketing will actually draw people to you.

Thinking of your marketing strategy as a piece of music will help you keep the right perspective as you develop and build your strategy. And it won't be as intimidating if you realize you need to practice each part and then add it in as a permanent part of your repertoire.

By the way, the lead guitar player is also his son, so I guess playing instruments must run in the family.

Happy Business Building,

Yoli

The reason I'm asking is because people may not know what social media marketing is , while that would make me vote for it to learn more, but not every thinks like that. Also, online marketing could capture more attention when people spot in on the list. Shri

Those are all just "internet marketing" as far as I am concerned. And I normally would have voted for internet marketing, however I chose social media marketing simply because there are more than enough IM forums out there already.
