Top 4 Reasons Why You SHOULD Be Affiliate Marketing

Article Overview: When it comes to making money online, there are always plenty of ways to do so. I can't think of an easier and more practical way to "get into the game" than using affiliate marketing. People from all walks of life are reaping major benefits simply by promoting products/services that other marketers have taken the time to create. I would like to discuss some of the main reasons that I use affiliate marketing and why I think you should do the same!

Top 4 Reasons Why You SHOULD Be Affiliate Marketing

1.) Availability:

You don't have to look too far or long to find literally millions of different programs that one could promote that have the ability to earn you some income. Typically, a marketer would promote products/services that he or she is aware of and has had some success with personally. This is a good practice to get into because nobody could ever claim that you don't have first hand experience BUT....for the amount of products/services there are and the many different "niches" and markets there are, I personally believe that it is OK to promote things that you do not have personal experience with....as long as that potential customer or prospect has a legitimate interest in it. In other words, just because YOU don't know anything about does NOT mean that your potential customer ISN'T interested in it.

You've probably already heard that having multiple streams of income is a good thing right? So considering all the different niches there are and the many different products avaiable to promote within that niche, I can't help but believe that you SHOULD be promoting them. Did you know that there are broad and/or really tight niches for literally any thought of a product or service? Did you know that IF you market properly and understand this concept, you COULD open the door for unlimited income and growth.

The internet is such a powerful tool in that you can literally reach the whole world easily. This also means that the available products and services and niches and income are truly unlimited. I believe that aside from growing your list (The money IS in the list), you SHOULD be doing some affiliate marketing because If you're not, you are losing money.....period. The many different options available to you and the many different sources of income available to you only mean that you need to figure out a way to get your hands in the taking...not run from them.

2.) Time Savings:

If you have done any kind of marketing, particularly starting out fresh as a beginner, you already know that this "online stuff" can be very daunting and time consuming. The world today is and has a "give it to me now" attitude. Writing articles, creating products, finding niches, writing sales copy, ad copy, forum posts....these ALL take time and you only have 24 hours per day right? So...one of the HUGE benefits of affiliate marketing is that you already eliminate creating the product, writing sales copy, doing graphics, adding pay buttons, etc. You literally can just promote your affiliate link and some other marketer (usually more experienced than yourself) has already written the sales copy, knows the conversion rate, did the graphics, etc.! It's a true time saver!

I am a firm believer that, although you SHOULD be creating your own products and working in that direction, you SHOULD be affiliate marketing at all times! In any downtime that you may experience in creating your own product or doing the sales copy or whatever it is....you can be promoting someone elses product/service and being rewarded by doing so. In my experience, this has become my "bread and butter" for my business during any real "downtime" that I experience for any reason.

Take advantage of other peoples work and efforts by simply promoting their products/services. They have it set up just for that reason. Although you don't make 100% of the income, you can easily generate some funds while you're putting together your own product, launch date, affiliate center, etc. You will NOT find a marketer out there today, particularly the veterans, that do NOT do some type of affiliate marketing. Therefore, you SHOULD be utilizing this in your arsenal at all time!

3. Networking Possibilities:

Another HUGE benefit of affiliate marketing is the networking abilities it will give you. I can honestly say that promoting other peoples products has given me some HUGE opportunities. Once you start getting results from your promotions and that marketer sees your results, they will inevitably contact you again and again. You start building a relationship of trust and respect and then you can do Joint Ventures together and help each other out. When you get to the point that you create your own product or have your own launch, you will NOW have someone that will promote it for you...your own affiliate. Typically, that affiliate will bring you others as well. This is how it all starts coming together but it started out with affiliate marketing!

I have been introduced to hundreds of marketers that I can NOW have promote my products and do Joint Ventures with as a result of promoting their products or events. This has blown my business to a whole new level and it all started off by simply promoting their products. I also encourage you to ask for help when promoting other peoples products/services. This is a nice way "in" and gets you to talking to that marketer. Very important.

4. Unlimited Decisions:

When it comes to decisions to make concerning online affiliate marketing, the sky is the limit. This goes hand in hand with the many different niches and programs within those niches! You can never say that you don't have something to promote that you can make money from. You could only say that you don't have anyone to promote it to. This goes hand in hand about list building and marketing to that list but, this cannot and should not be an excuse to not get involved with affiliate marketing. You are only limited by your imagination as to what you can do, what you can promote, and how you can promote it. For instance, it didn't cost me to write this article, it doesn't cost me to post in forums....there are plenty of methods and you need to start utilizing them and make some decisions and take action. There are NO limits....affiliate marketing is a true MUST for any marketer at any stage of your business.

As you can see, there are many upsides to affiliate marketing that make it a profitable and worthwhile part of any experienced marketers game plan. A well seasoned marketer will utilize affiliate marketing with their own products and eventually have their own affiliates promoting their products. THIS is when the money gets big and the possibilities become endless. There is strength in numbers.

There are pros and cons to Affiliate Marketing, just as there are to any business. As has been suggested, he best policy is to proceed with caution and do some research before jumping in. As Carol has recommended, this topic thread in the EvanCarmichael.com forum is the ideal place to ask questions and seek further input on available Affiliate Marketing programs. If a person is serious about building an online business and is interested in Affiliate Marketing plans, they should approach the process as they would any other form of business. Research, ask questions, compare opportunities, participate in forums on online business and Affiliate Marketing. GT :-]
Re: Affiliate Marketing - Open for Discussion - Hi GT Affiliate Marketing is one of the easier ways to get started making money online, but it does take quite a bit of work before you see any great results as you have to keep promoting constantly. It does teach you one hell of a lot about all aspects of Internet Marketing though as you will need to learn how to write and submit articles, create and maintain a blog, social networking is a great help to affiliates too..the list goes on and on. Re: Affiliate Marketing - Open for Discussion - You made some very good points here Jeff and I agree with you, Affiliate Marketing should not be something that you concentrate all your efforts into. As i said earlier I have learned a lot with Affiliate Marketing and continue to do so, and it has helped me tremendously to understand what I am going to have to do in my chosen niche(s). Re: Internet Marketing is the best business in the world - No problem. I am also interested in creating an ebook one day and am glad that I can finally contribute to someone who is, maybe not so up to date in an area that I have some knowlege of. Also I forgot to mention Affiliate Marketing from my previous post. Getting others to sell WhyNot's ebooks for him is a great way of promoting as well.
