Entrepreneurs' Millionaire Mindset - The New Psychology of Success

We are programmed to avoid change (if it is too hard), not make waves on any given situation and afraid to do what is best for us, even when there is no other choice. Many times our mind is faced with the "What If"? We say what if it doesn't work out in this relationship before it goes to the next level. We think of ways in our minds of what will we do if he or she decides they want to move forward and leave us behind. What to do with the finances, the children, the cars, and the house, this thought is in our heads before we even say I Do. Why?

When we are faced in a situation where we are ready to make a change in our lives, whether it be to move forward in our careers, buy a new car, buy a new house or simply get out of a bad situation, once again we are faced with the "What if"? Making change from a small house to a larger home is a big step. Not one that is easy to decide when we have the "What If" coming into our minds when we think of all the great things we will do with this larger home. Sure you decided and know that financially you are capable of making the new payment with money to spare. Again the question arises "What If". Why not change the wording in our minds to "This will happen, I am capable. I am well on my way to the good life".

Here is another situation we are faced with many times in our career, "What If" I change jobs and I don't like the new boss, what if I am not able to perform the way they expect? What if I don't like my new position? What if the raise they told me I would get is not exactly the same amount I was told in the interviewing process? What if I get sick and I don't have vacation time to cover my needed time off? What if I get fired? What if the position and duties change once I am hired?

One day you may be in a situation that forces you to make a change in your life, and possibly change your entire career goal. Again you are faced with the "What If" question. This opportunity sounds great, but "what if" I don't make the money it says I could? What if this opportunity requires a deposit or down payment? "What if" I don't turn around and make triple of what I invested into the business?

On the other hand we are not asking but telling ourselves this new career move really works and has changed my life. I am making double my salary and have more free time than ever. I am giving back to the community and seeing my kids grow up. I am successful. I call this the "Entrepreneurs Millionaires Mindset", sounds extravagant, but not really. In these uncertain times, a necessity for all to posses. One piece of common sense, this works, but not without action. Many of us have already been forced to change our thinking because of the economy, job losses, reduced pensions and foreclosures. The key is to change your thinking while you are still in control of your life and to have the power to make the necessary changes to keep it that way.

It is normal human nature to think rationally about a new step in our lives. This requires a lot of research and the ability to want something better for ourselves. Of course we don't want to step into something we know nothing about and gamble our money away thinking that it must work, because it works for this or that person. We have to find something that we are passionate about and want to make a difference in our lives and that of our family. We are driven, focused and determined to make something work for us. The reason for this type of thinking from "What If" to I want this, I can make this happen. Once the change in our mind is focused on our determination, our drive to be successful and our belief that this is something that I need to do to better my life and my family's.

Once we decide to change to the entrepreneur's millionaire mindset and take out the negative thought of "what if" this thing does not work out, we simply start seeing ourselves as successful at what we decided to do and make that change. Instead of what if thinking, we need to think of what will I do with the extra income from this new position? Where will we vacation this year? How will I build a bigger closet to accommodate all of the new clothes I am going to have now that I have financial freedom? Now the question comes into our mind, maybe we need a bigger house; I won't need to build that bigger closet. Where do we look? How many rooms will we need? Do we want a pool? See where I am going with this? We need to change the way we were thinking. We need to have the entrepreneur's millionaire mindset before we can have the physical benefits that come from it. This freedom and financial boost gives us power to overcome any "What If" questions in our minds and eventually it is tuned off forever.

If you found this article informative, I would recommend the book that gave me the inspiration "Mindset: The New Psychology of Success" by Carol Dweck. There you will find the help you need to make the necessary changes.

To your best life ever.

CEOs and Email - Slaves? CEOs and Email - Slaves? - I wonder if the emails they are responding to are filtered thru their assistants first 'cos they seem to spend a lot of their off hours responding to them. True they are successful but I'm not sure I'd be willing to pay that price. I'd be interested to know what's the in the typical day planner of Entrepreneurs on the Forum. Entrepreneurs are a different breed than Paid Employees- so it would be interesting to view the contrast.

It just makes me even more thankful to be part of this forum! After helping create a new charity for animals in my local community last year, I created a vision for a charity empowering Women Entrepreneurs. It won't happen for a while yet, but I know it is something I will do within the next few years. As we allow ourselves to think bigger, the opportunity to impact people becomes much bigger as well. Does anyone else have a desire to really make a difference in the world through this means?
