So You Want To Work From Home

I remember when I found my first real opportunity with a legit home based business. I had wasted many dollars like so many before me on countless get rich quick programs that at times were good but did nothing to offer me any real stability. I wanted to belong to something I could continue growing with and that would continue growing with me. Something I could brand my name to rather than just free advertise for somebody else. I finally found something that agreed with my ideals and moral and where I wanted to go and musted up the courage to make a real commitment to it. I was going to give the entrepreneurial life a real go, not for quick money but because the particular opportunity had something far greater to offer. I had learnt so much more even in the first day with this than I had with all these run of the mill programs put together. My ongoing problem, especially with past experiences, was the frustration that came with clueless, directionless days spent on the computer paying out more money, more money, but never really knowing what I was buying but only why I should buy it, plus the mentality of thinking I had done enough to earn the right to my endless payments. After all that's why I got involved and that's what was promised. But your typical program is designed that way. A newbie like me was always going to get reeled into the " money for nothing " pitch, after all I wanted easy money. Then there is the endless amounts of e-mails I was receiving too. You know, to join countless other ventures that my sponsor was part of. The sponsor I had never even talked to before because there was never a phone number. So anyway I keep joining and paying, joining and paying, until eventually I don't know what company or program I am suppose to be building.

And what have I really learnt?

Where does this leave normal people like me?

You know your average Joe can't juggle two balls let alone 3,4 and 5 or more at a time. But I belong to a bucket load of companies with a whole heap of nothing to offer. Now the best part of my days were spent reading emails. I was so good at operating my email accounts that if I got paid to do that then hell yeah I'd be a millionaire. After all it's just a numbers game remember? The golden ticket could have shown up in one of those emails any day now if I just kept on looking at them. Yes the things we can mistake for work.

Now if it sounds like I have a slight chip on my shoulder, then maybe I have. I like to help people. If I'm doing good then I want you to as well. That's just me. But why play the blame game. Take it as a learning curve and move on. If you are serious about freedom then you are in it for the long run.

Let's not let a few bad experiences ruin our dreams. We must focus on where we are going and I mean... where we want to go. We must also take responsibility. You see if we don't take responsibility then we become the victim and become just another statistic thrown onto the failure pile which is well known to be up to 97% in this industry. Now think about society. Think about your average Joe. You know Joe, the alarm tells him to get up at seven, the clock tells him to leave for work at eight, the peak hour traffic determines when he get's there, now It's time for the boss to crap on him for eight, nine, ten or more hours, when to have a break and for how long, peak hour traffic back home again, pulls in the driveway, takes the BILLS out of his mailbox, showers, has dinner and then allows the media to burn into his brain cells how bad the world really is so he can go to bed knowing just how good he's got it and how thankful he should be to be part of the herd. Ever heard of the term sheeple? They are people who follow the leader. But what if the leader is leading you off a cliff! Sheeple are expendable. Don't be fooled . Why be a meal ticket for someone else so you can go hungry.

But then I considered this possibility and it kept me in the game. I figured that if there are so many people joining the make money for nothing army everyday that could be losing all their money, getting frustrated and leaving the industry all together, does that mean that a substantial portion of them may belong to the 97%. Well if so then all you have to do is stick around and don't give up and you are already doing better than most ever will.

So if you are going to stick around then you deserve no less than a legitimate opportunity. An opportunity to prepare you for success rather than set you up for failure. A business that expresses real goals and real opportunities that involve you as an equal not just a number. A business with a real, high end, in demand product and proven marketing plan. Why muck around with lots of different companies when you can just focus on one. Why lose lots of money playing guessing games when you can use proven strategies that are completely laid out for you and have proven to work over and over again. Why scratch your head and curse your computer when you get stuck with something when you can have real people who know your business inside out to support you when you need help because your success is their success. Why work on your own and walk over your fellow man/woman when you can work with a team of professional entrepreneurs to ensure you achieve your goals if you want to. Why work for cents when you can do the same amount of work for dollars.

Everything you need to consider starts right here.

Re: Trade Shows - Are They Worth It? Re: Trade Shows - Are They Worth It? - HI, I have used trade shows (not participated) to collect potential clients. For example, the Home & Garden Industry is extremely behind the time in regards to their websites. I attended an Home & Garden Expo in Denver and collected all the companies contact information. I plan on cold calling & mailing information to each business. It also gave me time to research the industry more, talk directly to the owners in many cases, and learn more about what they need. Jeff
