Creating a Life, Creating a Successful Home Business

Creating a Life, Creating a Successful Home Business

Many people think that you have to focus on beating your competition in order to be a successful business owner.  They believe that business is a dog eat dog world where on the strongest survive. So, they refuse to seriously consider starting a home business.

This perspective of business has been around for a long time.  However more entrepreneurs recognize that competition is not necessary. In fact, Wallace Wattles, the author of The Science of Getting Rich, states that "You are to become a creator, not a competitor.  You are going to get what you want, but in such a way that when you get it every other person whom you affect will have more than he has now."

This underlying thought makes a difference.  The world is limited for people with the old-school view of business. They believe that there is only a limited amount of stuff and if another person gets what they want, there won't be enough stuff for everyone.

People with the newer perspective know that there is a limitless supply of riches.  They can rejoice when others achieve their goals because they know that there will always be enough available for them.  They know that they can create something out of nothing.

How do I change my perspective?  The first step is to surround yourself with positive, like-minded people.  Check out Meetup.com to find any networking groups in your area.  You also want to check the meetings of any network marketing groups that you are involved with.

Focus on your vision.  Why are you creating your business? For example, you may want to buy a home in another neighbourhood or another city, if so, visit that neighbourhood or city.  Soak up the ambience and energy of that community.  Put pictures up in your home and look at them regularly.

Meditate on your vision.  Visualize what it will be like to walk into your new home.  Where will you put the furniture?  What would your children's rooms look like?

When you ponder your vision, you open yourself up to new possibilities.  As your energy shifts you can handle the challenges of the new business.  You focus on the wonderful new life that you are creating with your home business.
