Why Welcome Change?
Change is everywhere! You certainly can't avoid it in internet marketing. Just when you feel that you've mastered a marketing strategy, the game changes. How do you manage the constant changes?
You can respond to change in one of two ways. The first is to resist change. We all know people who resist change. They refuse to learn to use a computer, relying on friends or their children. These are the people in network marketing who tell you to focus on marketing to friends and family. This resistance is understandable for change can seem risky.
The other response is to welcome change and celebrate. If you are in network marketing, you would decide to learn online marketing skills to grow your business. Change is the name of the game in business these days. Adaptability is a key skill of the information world. Resilient people who welcome change will thrive. Those who fight it will struggle. Do you want to thrive or struggle?
As you think it over, you realize that you subtly resist change. That's understandable for no one is totally change resistant or always welcomes change. Most people fall somewhere in between resisting change or welcoming it. It's more important to know where you are in this range and where you want to be. Note the situations when you are tempted to resist change. Does it serve you to resist change in these situations? Will this pattern get you closer to your goals?
Since you've decided to welcome change, how do you do that? When you start to resist change, notice where that resistance shows up in your body. Do you clench your jaw? Or tighten your shoulders? Breathe into the tension. That is, take a deep breath and visualize the breath going to the tight spot.
Create affirmations that encourage you to welcome change. Tell yourself "I welcome change." "Change is my friend and it helps me achieve my goals." Say these affirmations throughout the day, especially when you feel yourself resisting change. Who do you know who welcomes change? Contact them and ask them how they would handle this situation. Visualize yourself handling the situation in a similar way.
When you welcome change, you'll notice that magic happens. Your life blossoms as you achieve your goal of creating a successful home business.
