A Waste Of A life Time Or A Standing Tribute To The Possibilities

Have you ever wondered why people seem to waste so much energy and time trying to accomplish something that doesn't seem to serve any purpose. For instance, worrying about paying bills, fretting about loosing a job, complaining about the boss or maybe procrastinating about starting a new business that would change your life and those around you. This energy and effort could be focused on something much greater which could bring success and wealth into your life.

I was driving through a neighbor hood the other day to finish a house I had been working on and I was wasting mental energy on thinking about how much I didn't want to finish this house today. Nothing like a little thought process like this to creep in and make a job twice as hard as it has to be.

As I drove along I passed a sign that read "Historic Castle" and an arrow pointed the way down a narrow road. Since I wasn't to thrilled about finishing the task before me, I thought, why not take a look. Nothing like giving in to distractions when you don't want to do something right?

At the end of the road stood this amazing castle. I live in southern Ohio and we don't have castles, well, we do have one as I just found out.

At the door of the castle there is a plaque that tells the story of a man who had spent his life time building this full size replica of a castle he had seen in Europe. It when on to explain how he got stone from the nearby river to build the walls and how he had made the bricks from clay packed into milk jugs. He never lived long enough to complete the castle and it was later finished by a Historic Society.

I later thought why would someone spend a life time building something like this and what motivated him to take on such a task and work on it for such a long period of time. This monument stands tribute for all to see of what one man can do and maybe that is the reason he built it. To show others the possibilities.

I was wondering also how could I personally harness this type of motivation and dedication to something worth while. I wasn't any longer satisfied with my present business which was running a carpenter contracting business that I labored away on to try and pay the bills. I had been wanting a change, as my lack of motivation with my present business was a indicator it was long past do.

I had heard about making money on the internet and how internet business could be run from anywhere. I also believed in hard work but working smarter and leveraging the internet was the key to a new life and freedom. After thinking about the man and his castle and what he had accomplished, I thought about the possibilities, stopped the procrastination, and with new found energy started on my internet business journey.

Legal due diligence Legal due diligence - It seems like you've gotten a lot of advice on how to "value" your prospective venture. But here is something else to keep in mind: do the legal due diligence. 1. What type of structure is it? Corporation, LLC, etc? Is it in "Good Standing?" 2. Does the business have any written contracts, if so with whom? (E.G. advertisers, vendors, employees) 3. Who owns the intellectual property? Copyrights to content, trademarks? 4. How is revenue generated? How do the sellers want to be compensated? Are they willing to do an earn-out? 5. Are there any lawsuits pending or threatened? These are just a couple ideas....
