Become a Student Of Success And Change Everything

Written by: Steve Kimball

Article Overview: I heard this term long after I was a student of the learning environment known as school. When I was in school I never had good grades and becoming a success seemed to be something that was left for others. In school we are all graded on the merits of the people who excel at learning. This article is about how anyone from all walks of life can change their life to be anything that they want it to be. Its about how, after many years of believing that I had to settle for what life dealt me by not being good in school was something I could change. I heard that to change your life you had to change the way you think.

Become a Student Of Success And Change Everything

I heard this term long after I was a student of the learning environment known as school. When I was in school I never had good grades and becoming a success seemed to be something that was left for others. In school we are all graded on the merits of the people who excel at learning. These are the people who always get the best grades and seem to have it all together. But what about the students who for one reason or another do not get good grades. Maybe they even try their best and they still fail to achieve good grades.

Does this make them destined to a life of hard work and low pay because the school system teaches them that their a failure? I know in my situation I felt this way, heck I was just a kid flunking a math test in which I knew most of the answers but couldn't take a test to save my life. I guess to the educational system I was a failure. I began to loath school and the thought of learning things and memorizing things that I would never use again.

I really not trying to slam the educational system. I just know it didn't work very well for me as a became an adult and joined the working world. Education is very important as it teaches us reading , writing, and mathematics. It also educates us on life skills, how to get along with others how to eat the right foods and how to maintain our health along with many other ideas.

It wasn't my attention to go off on a tangent about school and the educational system. This article is about how anyone from all walks of life can change their life to be anything that they want it to be. Its about how, after many years of believing that I had to settle for what life dealt me by not being good in school was something I could change. I heard that to change your life you had to change the way you think.

This is where I started my journey on becoming a student of success and being a student again was something I now truly loved. This is where everyone is on a equal playing field because there are no set rules, benchmarks or levels of achievement. It was up to me to set my own standards and goals to whatever level of success I wanted to climb to. My text books became the stories of others who had climbed the ladder of personal success. I learned everything I could about the way they thought differently about things, the way they used systems to maximize results, about what type of people influenced them.

I learned that becoming successful and being a student of success was a on going journey of always moving forward. I was taught by one of my mentors that success is a process not a destination and the person I will become is worth all the effort.

Re: Spellcheck? Re: Spellcheck? -
When discussing the majority of people I would definitely say that most people hit the "Change" or "Ignore" button without thinking too much about the correct spelling of a word. All bosses are concerned about is getting the report to the Directors meeting on time.[/quote:2f894q6j] That probably depends on what the "majority" are trying to accomplish. I have word set to alert me about misspellings and grammatical problems, so I fix most as I go. But I also add names etc to the dictionary because I get tired of seeing the red and green squiggles when I know the info is right. If you're only going to click "Change" or "Ignore" then why bother to take the time to use spell check????? Business people that I work for want the info compiled in a timely manner and they want it right - which is fine because that's the way I strive to do any project. Sending out a memo, letter, report etc with obvious spelling and grammatical mistakes makes the person and the company look bad as far as I'm concerned. Shri
Re: e-Commerce and e-Payment providers Re: e-Commerce and e-Payment providers - Hi GT It is only fairly recently that people in South Africa have been able to get full use of Paypal as we were only able at one time to make payments but not receive them. Fortunately this has now changed. I have received money through Global X Change for one of the affiliate programs that I promote and have found them pretty good as the money is normally transferred directly into my bank account within 2-3 days and I have not had any problems with them. Re: Obama Wants Social Security for Illegals Re: Obama Wants Social Security for Illegals -
Obama WILL make changes... but they're not the changes we as a country need or should look forward to.[/quote:3kaa8sg4] Sad but this is exactly how I feel about it. Change is coming - but unless I'm really wrong, it is not a change this country needs. Amazing how much a good speaker with a good speech writer can do. If you paid attention to the things he said "off script" - much of it is frightening. Chris

I have decided to go back to school after having first child a little over a year ago. I have already been accepted into the program, but I am trying to find all the funding I can. I have already applied for Pell Grant and Subsidized Student loans, but the Pell Grant only covered 3 of the 4 classes. So I am looking into grants? Will I qualify this? Please help me.
