Mind-Set Before Skill-Set

Fact is that 98% of people starting a home based business will never achieve their goals. Most people will let themselves believe they do not deserve more. This lesson was the single most important and valuable one I have ever been taught.

There seems to be this industry wide way of thinking the the first page ad of the home business they are joining will be them overnight. Its perfectly fine to imagine yourself financially sound or well off. However, people fail to realize how much work has to be allocated when pursuing a home business. First off people have to see the scope of what they are after. I'm talking about financial freedom here. Take a second to let that soak in. Think for minute about your job, bills, boss, and anything else you might have excepted as the norm.

People in this day and age believe whole heartily that they must work for the rest of their lives. Failing to realize everyone has the key to set them out from the rest. Its in each and every one of us. A home business is not just for those with experience in marketing or some college degree. My mentor and some other amazing people i know have simply realized their inner potential. With absolutely no experience they achieved great success by simply knowing and acknowledging they deserve more.

I was the same exact way. I spent 7 years in the oil and gas industry before looking into a home business. Like many people I had excepted the fact i was going to work for someone else the rest of my life. My world being dictated by someone else. Like my mentor taught me, skill-set will directly follow mind-set. Its just like starting a puzzle. All you can do is dive in and begin putting it together. The more you dedicate to learning where the pieces go the faster you meet your goals. Just be prepared to understand with a home business people tend to resist the idea. Do not count on your friends or family to back your home business. I love my family to death but they lack the mind-set and will unknowingly take you off track. This is something i went through. I could tell just by what they didn't say and lack of interest. Failing to realize the power and gravity of what your after. Same goes with your friends, chances are they are in the same boat as most people. You seem to except the norm more when your around people who have blissfully excepted it.

Once you realize a goal, and set your mind to it, you will start to change. You will become self empowered and that is the key. The skill-set or learning curve of any home business can be obtained. All the pieces of your puzzle are out there, all the tools can be found. Start working towards your dreams and know that setbacks are simply lessons. Nothing at all will stand in the way of a determined mind.
