Locate Your Niche and Get Rich.

It's very important to know how to reach your target market and what to say to them! I'm assuming that you are reading this because you already know that you need to get as much traffic to your website, visitor opt-ins and commitments as possible when marketing on line.

Imagine it kind of like preaching to the choir. The group of people in front of you is already there for the same reasons you are. They are there because they want to be there and have many of the same values, hopes and desires that you do.

The target market will be the exact group of people who are looking for what you have to offer. They are the "perfect" prospect, customer or even partner for you business. What this meaning encompasses can include: age, gender, occupation, financial situation, emotional level, education, ambition even health and fitness levels as well as many other factors that might be relevant.

The key to lead generation and converting those leads to sales is to effectively position yourself online to attract those people and then speak to them directly through your marketing. Some of the largest and most successful companies in the world use this strategy. It's called "getting rich in your niche". This is the best way to grow a business. No product or service is supposed to appeal to everyone, only the right one(s)!

Get started using this technique if you wish to be this highly successful. Start building a list on paper, your computer, even on your wall, if it lets you see it better, (why not?).

Maybe you might want to draw a picture of your perfect customer? What do they wear? What do they like to do? Where do they live? What pains do they feel? What happiness do they feel? Etc... These are just a few examples for now. Try to be as specific as possible. Draw the picture in your mind first, then start writing and drawing it out. Be patient with yourself. Really focus in and be honest.

Once you see who your perfect customer is, you can now design your marketing strategy around that vision. Be inspired to help those in your vision by connecting to them specifically, through your marketing campaign.

Get your choir in place and start singing to them. They will sing back I'm sure. Use this technique and see how powerful this concept truly is. Re: How should i promote a new website? - ignore this message IF it's already been stated. I haven't had a chance to read all the replies and i have to jet from the office... I suggest marketing where ever your Target Market congregates. If it's a forum of concerned parents - go there. Strike up a deal with the forum owner (JV) and have him promote it to the list of members (Integration Marketing). If you want to go with Forums then i would partner with a parent who is a frequent poster/moderator on a particular Target Market Forum and have him/her add your link to their signature. That was just a thought but it's not as intense once you get buy in from the Forum owner or high ranked poster/moderator. Hope that sparks some new ideas.
