Build your Future for yourself not Your Boss – Start Your Own Business
Everyone starts with a dream in this life. Indeed the building blocks of any career start with an aim of building a future. Gone are the days when people harbored thoughts of joining their dream company. The economic turmoil has further paved the way for people to be self employed.
Turning entrepreneur is in vogue nowadays, not because it sounds nice but because of the opportunities it offers. Self employment gives you various options to play around with what is ultimately good because it is your life and if you are good at what you do, why do you need a boss in the first place?
Being in control of yourself
Do you like to be ordered or dictated? No one does, but then we exist in a system where the boss calls the shots. Do you really need to be told what to do? You probably said no; if you think you can manage on your own, self employment is the thing for you.
You can manage to do your own thing in a much better way when you don't have anyone looking over your shoulder. Self employed people also start building more confidence in themselves rather than when they are working under a boss.
Money does matter
We eat to live and we need to earn our living. We need to be employed so that we can go to work and enjoy a good life, and then of course retire peacefully. But then, self employment provides you with much more opportunities in life, you can take a week off or you can choose to work flexibly from home.
You can probably earn more money if you are on your own. Even if you retire with ample money, it does not assure you a comfortable life because as time moves, everything seems to be overpriced. Self employed also may make you realize that you were probably paid peanuts rather than your real worth.
Competition
In today's cut throat world, no one gives you an inch. You have probably spent years studying a specific subject or made sacrifices in order to be where you are. The amount of money invested in your education might have taken a huge toll on your family.
You cannot afford to see it all going waste under a boss who, with all due respect, is selling your skills as a product of his or her own. Self employment helps you create your own identity and helps you stand out. In being self employed, you also earn a lot more respect.
Being self employed is like having freedom when you want it the most, no more excuses to give when you need to unwind, no more of adjusting your work-life balance, where the only loser was always your family.
Self employment makes you overcome fears and spread your wings for that dream that seemed elusive until now. You also realize that time and social networks that are the most valuable assets are so much at your disposal that you enjoy being in command of yourself and your business. After all it is your future that you plan to build, not your boss's.
