Focus on Your Business

Time management is the key to operating your computer business efficiently.  Prioritize work so you accomplish what you want in a day before doing anything else.

When operating a computer business generation of leads is the key to success.  To generate leads you need to drive traffic to your web site.  You need to spend between 70 and 80 per cent of your time on traffic producing activities.  What this means is that anything that does not qualify as a traffic producing activity needs to be done secondary after you have completed your lead generation work for the day.

Traffic producing activities may include article writing and press releases, Google ad words, Search Engine advertising and social media such as Facebook and Twitter.  Be careful with social media networking that you are working on revenue generating work not personal contacts.

You need to focus on your business first.  Checking and answering emails can take precious time away from your priorities.  In particular emails that you receive to try to sell you something or get you to look at their business opportunity.  You can get overwhelmed reading your emails on every computer business or marketing and lead generating method.  You have your own computer business and need to commit to that.  Don't spin around in circles.   Don't let yourself get distracted from your traffic producing activities.  Stay focused on the business at hand.

The biggest reason why people fail is they lose focus.  You have probably chosen to work at home with your computer business to work less works than a secular job.  You need to focus so that the majority of your work time is productive.  You will eventually give up and fail if you do not focus on your business.

Schedule your time and plan your day so that between 70 and 80 per cent of your time is generating leads to your website.  You then need to follow that schedule.  Do not let yourself get distracted.

Will you be successful with your computer business?  This totally depends on you.  My advice to you is Focus!  Focus!  Focus!
