Internet Marketing – A Global Marketplace

How large do you think as a work from home business chief? Do you realize that the online world is your potential marketplace? Leveraging the power of internet marketing can lead to massive profits because the internet is truly a global marketplace. In case you have not noticed there are few people that do not have an online connection. Those who do not have the internet in their homes are able to use public libraries, internet cafes, and various other locations to browse different websites and portals. As someone who operates a company, it is vital that you learn to see the world of customers that you could expose your marketing message via the World Wide Web. For example, in countries such as Korea it is not hard to find an internet cafe that charges less than one dollar for one hour of usage. Many entrepreneurs may remember using encyclopedias to complete reports for school, but the students of this generation and beyond are using their computers to perform research, write the report, and get excellent grades in their classes. The challenge with small business is that many people feel that every meeting must be conducted face to face. However, nothing could be further from the truth.

An incredible resource that you may not be aware of as someone who works from the comfort of your home is a webinar. Webinars can be used to train your new workers, have business meetings with your staff, give presentations to future clients, and let your core customers know what new products they can purchase. The great part about using webinars is that you do not have to leave your home to do any of these things. It is very possible to have a meeting with a new client who lives in Tokyo while you are sitting on the beach with a wireless connection in Florida. The online world allows companies to play the old game of sales on an equal playing field because the only requirement is that you have a connection to the internet.

Another way to speak to customers in other countries is via the use of VOIP technology. There are services such as Skype that let you speak to any other Skype user at no extra charge. This is a fabulous way to let your freelance employee in the Philippines know what their assignment is for the current week without paying long distance charges. The name of the online game is to use as many free and low cost resources as possible so that you can work in your business where it counts. Let your online tools do the bulk of the work for you so that you don't have to work any harder than necessary. Thinking on a global level will cause a complete transformation to take place and may mean that you will never run out of customers who are eagerly awaiting the arrival of your next product or service. Put the vast global might of the online world to use in your business before the market becomes oversaturated with too many similar niches.

Re: Kevin's Case Study #11 - A New Forum Category? Re: Kevin's Case Study #11 - A New Forum Category? - Hi Kevin, Like GT suggested, I also think you can add Internet Marketing as a sub category in the Marketing section and also a Social marketing as subcategory. Online marketing/internet marketing/online promotion are the same, and it will be best to use the common term - Internet marketing. I can't think about someone to moderate a Social Marketing category. We all use it, we all know how to make it work and we all have our own different experience with it.
Internet Marketing Conference on SLife Internet Marketing Conference on SLife - I've been trying to log in but it keeps crashing.. anyways.. a friend of mine in BC plans on holding Internet Marketing Conferences on SecondLife and have the same top internet marketers that would normally be in Live Internet Marketing conference speak. Income will be generated from admission charges, product sales during breaks, sponsor tables, etc etc.. Just to get the ideas flowing in your head that anything you can do in the real world can be replicated in SL. There is no planned date as of yet for this conference.
Re: Hi from a Manhattan coach Re: Hi from a Manhattan coach - Hi Julie, Welcome to the forum, it's great to have you here and thank you for telling us a little about yourself. You sound like a very enthusiastic person who likes what she does and in Internet Marketing that is very important and you also sound like a 'people person' which is great. Internet Marketing is time consuming and challenging but can also be extremely rewarding and hopefully profitable. I don't know how many forums you have signed up to but this is one of the best. The support and guidance you get here is what makes it the success that it is but as I am sure you know from looking at the side bar that there are many aspects of business that are catered for here which will help you along the way, best wishes, Mal.
Re: How many mambers of this forum are also member of WF? Re: How many mambers of this forum are also member of WF? - Hi Kevin, I have to agree with Tanny. All forums are unique in their own way, but doesn't mean that one is better than the other. What you might get out of one forum, you may not get from another. For instance, the WF focuses on Internet Marketing, while this forum focuses on Entrepreneurship. Each has their own set of benefits. I don't think you can really compare one to the other, unless of course they focused on the same topic. I have learned a lot from this forum, stuff I would never have gotten from the WF. With that being said, I've learned a lot from the WF, specifically since I need to know about Internet Marketing and running an online business. The addition of the Online Business forum here will help, and Jeff is doing a great job as moderator.
Re: e-Commerce and e-Payment providers Re: e-Commerce and e-Payment providers - Hi GT, I was always very reluctant to trust the Internet at all in the early days until I became a marketer and had to show a bit of faith. Now it is second nature to many people and I use PayPal for virtually all my transactions. Like Michelle I use Global Exchange for one of my affiliate programs but other than that it is PayPal for me. regards, Mal.
