MLM Systems Why They Don’t Work

If you are involved with MLM, or have a desire to become a part of this type of small business, please read this article to see the potential pitfalls you may face along the way. You don't want to get lost in the multi-level marketing sauce before you even begin your journey.

It takes a certain type of person to succeed in any business endeavor, and MLM is no different. However, for those involved in this type of business, you can work long and hard and still fail because it takes a very long time to see results. Those who are involved in any type of home based business are doing so because they want to earn money. They may want to earn enough to quit their jobs, pay for school, pay the mortgage, send a child to college, or some other tangible goal that is worth obtaining. Having your own business is a great way to fire your employer, but leaving your job should only happen when you have enough money on which to live. The vast majority of those involved with network marketing are not able to see results quickly because they must pay for products monthly, pay for training materials, and perhaps even pay for leads. If you notice, there is a common theme in the prior sentence. I am referring to the fact that there is a great deal of items that you must pay for in MLM, but not a substantial amount of money that is paid to MLM business owners. How can you earn a profit each month, when a great deal of your money is going towards other things?

Another reason why MLM systems don't work is because of the stigma that certain companies have created for the entire industry. Network marketing has been around long enough for many people to remember the aggressive sales techniques of certain MLM companies that have given others a bad name. This has caused many friends, family members, and new business prospects to want to know if you are in the network marketing business. They may even ask you if you are a part of an MLM organization when you attempt to recruit them into your company. I am sure that many friendships have suffered because network marketing business owners have become so engulfed in that particular lifestyle, only to alienate those who love them dearly.

The final reason that many MLM business owners fail is due to their own prior track record. It is not uncommon for people to be involved with several network marketing companies over the course of their small business career. This greatly contributes to a business owner's lack of credibility. When your friends and acquaintances know that you have gone from one MLM company to another, they may see this as an indication that you have not been successful. The sad truth is that many times they are correct in this assumption.

While there are those who have earned success with their multi-level marketing company, there are a large number of people who have not gained the type of revenue that they had hoped to earn. If you have never considered online marketing, you may want to look at all of the opportunities that this type of lucrative business has to offer.

Something i have done is gotten online and found all the networking event happening in my area for the next 2 months and i try and go to about 3 a week. Even just for an hour. Dont bring any business cards. Just meet new people ask them alot about what they do, not too much about what i do and follow up the next day or 2. Has worked well
