My Decision to Operate an Internet Marketing Business

There are so many home based businesses offered so how do you tell the good from the bad. One gets bombarded with emails and advertising from every computer based business. Everyone makes the same promises. This is easy, anyone can do it. How I made $1,000.00 a day. Does this sound familiar?

I wanted to make money with the internet. I liked the ability to be able to work from anywhere. I liked the idea of being able to pack up my laptop and carry on with my work anywhere. I wanted to pick my own hours. If I couldn't sleep I could get up and work for a couple of hours. I was tired of being tied to 8 - 5 hours.

I tried several things and read what seems like a billion email advertisements before I found something that I had success at and was passionate about. I am now run my own internet marketing business and without having any marketing experience I am successful.

The company I am with is a revolutionary business that changes lives. At first I was very apprehensive. My first response was if the compensation plan was for real or is it another one of those promises that only a few people make money at. Yes it is real but I am sure most people will have the same initial doubts that I had.

I was impressed that there are business coaches that call your leads also. They are professionally trained to close your sales for you. Business calls are held each day that your leads can listen to learn about the business. The best thing that I like is you don't have to sell something to your leads. They need to understand the business model and then decide if it is for them. The systems are in place to teach your leads about the business model. You need to help them understand the business but there is no sale to try to close. Your leads will make that decision for themselves.

The business is very automated. Letters are sent to your leads to encourage them to look at what is offered. Actually the very first sale I made, I hadn't even talked to the person yet. The sale was made totally on autopilot. So when you are on vacation, your business is not on hold. Your leads are being called by the business coaches and leads are being contacted with auto responder letters.

They invest in their members. The training that they provide is above anything else in the industry. The team spirit and community is beyond anything that I have experienced. From the very start of doing my research on the company the attitude of the leaders of the company is to serve not to be recognized. Emphasis is on community and helping people not the money. The money will come if we take care of the community and our team. Giving to charity was encouraged, not so much on the shining red sports car that goes really fast. I feel like I am part of a family that shares all their secrets so the members are successful.

Re: How many mambers of this forum are also member of WF? Re: How many mambers of this forum are also member of WF? - Hi Kevin, I have to agree with Tanny. All forums are unique in their own way, but doesn't mean that one is better than the other. What you might get out of one forum, you may not get from another. For instance, the WF focuses on Internet Marketing, while this forum focuses on Entrepreneurship. Each has their own set of benefits. I don't think you can really compare one to the other, unless of course they focused on the same topic. I have learned a lot from this forum, stuff I would never have gotten from the WF. With that being said, I've learned a lot from the WF, specifically since I need to know about Internet Marketing and running an online business. The addition of the Online Business forum here will help, and Jeff is doing a great job as moderator.

Re: Kevin's Case Study #11 - A New Forum Category? Re: Kevin's Case Study #11 - A New Forum Category? - Hi Kevin, Like GT suggested, I also think you can add Internet Marketing as a sub category in the Marketing section and also a Social marketing as subcategory. Online marketing/internet marketing/online promotion are the same, and it will be best to use the common term - Internet marketing. I can't think about someone to moderate a Social Marketing category. We all use it, we all know how to make it work and we all have our own different experience with it.
Internet Marketing Conference on SLife Internet Marketing Conference on SLife - I've been trying to log in but it keeps crashing.. anyways.. a friend of mine in BC plans on holding Internet Marketing Conferences on SecondLife and have the same top internet marketers that would normally be in Live Internet Marketing conference speak. Income will be generated from admission charges, product sales during breaks, sponsor tables, etc etc.. Just to get the ideas flowing in your head that anything you can do in the real world can be replicated in SL. There is no planned date as of yet for this conference.
Re: Hi from a Manhattan coach Re: Hi from a Manhattan coach - Hi Julie, Welcome to the forum, it's great to have you here and thank you for telling us a little about yourself. You sound like a very enthusiastic person who likes what she does and in Internet Marketing that is very important and you also sound like a 'people person' which is great. Internet Marketing is time consuming and challenging but can also be extremely rewarding and hopefully profitable. I don't know how many forums you have signed up to but this is one of the best. The support and guidance you get here is what makes it the success that it is but as I am sure you know from looking at the side bar that there are many aspects of business that are catered for here which will help you along the way, best wishes, Mal.
