The Futility of Working for Someone Else

The futility of working for someone else is something that all work from home business owners have realized at some point in their online marketing careers. The problem occurs when we forget how hopeless it can be working for a traditional brick and mortar organization. When we work for a company, we are trading our precious time for a portion of money that we earn to support ourselves and our loved ones. If we knew how much money most of these companies were making from our hard work, we would most likely be more motivated to quit our day jobs forever. Working for a business that you do not own makes that business richer. If your goal is to be in business for yourself, this can only be accomplished if you focus on creating an online empire where you are the king of your income.

One reason why it is futile to work for someone else is the factor of uncertainty. We are all living during a time when jobs are being cut each week. How do we know if the company we work for will be in business next week? The simple answer to the question is that we do not know how long they will be around. The boss of the company could decide to declare bankruptcy faster than a typhoon can hit the Philippines. The type of devastation that this type of decision can cause to the employees of the company could be catastrophic if such an event were to happen. A disastrous layoff of this magnitude could cripple you financially, and also hurt many of the other workers that would be displaced by the event. This could happen without any warning. Before you know it, you would be just another one of the unemployment statistics that people hear about on TV every day. These companies may be able to start another company in the future, but you are left to fend for yourself and will have to find another job to support your family. These company decisions are not made by you because you are just a worker, a person who works for pay, not one of the company decision makers.

The good part about realizing that working for someone else is futile lies in the fact that you can do something about your present situation. If you are working for a company that does not value what you have to offer, create your own online marketing business. If you already have an online company, do your best to position your business to succeed by doing something each day to promote your business. It is the little steps that will get you to the exact destination that you hope to reach. Focus on the things that you can do every day to connect with your leads, build friendships with your clients and colleagues, create a positive mindset for success, and you will find that you are closer to firing your boss than you may realize. Success in the online marketing arena may be right outside your door, so don't let the futility of working for someone else distract you from reaching your online goals.

Working for yourself means you are investing in your own future, not someone else's, although there is value in working for someone else first to gain experience and confidence. Working for yourself does not automatically mean success, fame and fortune. For most entrepreneurs, it takes much work and dedication to get to the point of financial success and comfort - sometimes years. But the benefit is, again, you know you are investing in yourself and building equity for your own future. GT :-]

Rubert Murdock is 77 years old and he is still working. He said he would die fast if he stop working. Working had become his life, joy and passion
business plans & raising capital business plans & raising capital - In the US, providing projections of returns for an equity investor can be very problematic. I would also mention that unless you are dealing directly with the venture capital firms – a business plan (while necessary) is not the best tool for dealing with private investors. Working with a professional is a definite help – but be sure to check them out and be very clear about what you will be getting. Be very careful with those who say they can raise capital for you.
