Self Improvement Tips For Network Marketers

If you are a network marketer, you should always be striving to get better at what you do. You can dramatically increase your sales if turn your weaknesses into strengths. If you focus your energy on becoming more productive, you will see better results and gain wisdom in the process.

Here are some tips for self improvement for network marketers:

1. Work Smart

Putting in time will not always yield greater financial results in your business. The key to success is to focus on the right activities. 80% of your results will be generated from 20% of your efforts. So, in order to work smart, focus your energy on the most important activities which are generating leads, both for new downline members and new customers.

2. Follow up with your prospects

They say that 48% never follow up with customers. If you want to close the sale, you need to follow up with every customer. In addition, 80% of sales are made after the fifth telephone call. You will go a lot further in this business, if you make those phone calls.

3. Be positive

It is very important for you to maintain a positive attitude. Everyone has a bad day once in a while. Don't let it get you down. You have to ride out the storm, and be able to handle rejection. Learn from your mistakes, and work on improving your sales techniques.

4. Tone of voice

Listen to your tone of voice when you are on the phone. Are you coming across as being rude? Are you too nervous? Practice your scripts, and it will go a long way. You should come off as being professional, knowledgeable, and polite, be yourself.

5. Overcome your objections

Plan what you are going to say for each objection that you might come cross. You should be able to answer any objections that you face. By answering questions and objections, you will increase your numbers. However, if you don’t know the answer be honest and tell the prospect you will get back to them with the information.

6. Listen to your customers

You need to be a good listener if you want to succeed. Really listen to what customers are saying. There is a huge difference between hearing and listening. Focus all your attention on this conversation not elsewhere. Find out what they need and want. Address their concerns and overcome their objections, and you will sell more products.

7. Take breaks

You need to take breaks and days off once in a while. You will need a mental health day. Take days off throughout your work year, and you will come back stronger each and every time. And, be sure to get enough sleep, as this in and of itself will help you to become more productive.

8. Don't let fear stop you

Don't be afraid of talking to people. You want to come across as being professional and confident. The worst case scenario is that a customer might say no. Practice talking to customers and you will gain confidence. The more you talk to people, the more proficient you will become.

9. Know your product

If you want to be able to sell, you need to know your product inside and out. You need to be an expert an authority on your company and product or service. You will come across as being unprofessional and incompetent if you are not the expert.

You need to put time into this business if you want to prosper. Stick to the plan for a long time, and you will see positive results. Most people fail simply because they give up too easily. Give it enough quality time and you will succeed. There is tremendous potential to achieve a greater quality of life with a Network Marketing Business!

10 best franchises to get involved 10 best franchises to get involved - My advice is: 1) Go to the library and start reading business books (accounting, finance, etc.) 2) Go to your local community college and enroll in night classes 3) Join the local Chamber of Commerce 4) Network / Network / Network -- through the above sources. Once you have spent two years doing the above, then look for a 55 - 60 year old business person that is looking to reduce their time in the business. Then you can work on a sweetheart financing option.

Trent - the new category is "Social Network and Media" which was put in to compliment the Online Businesses category that currently exists. Overall the new categories are: - Looking For, Networking and Events - Review My... - Social Network and Media - Brags and Rants These came as a result of Ringo doing research on other forums and thinking about what could be improved on ours to give a better experience for everyone. RE: Life isn't fair / 'Ol Boy Network RE: Life isn't fair / 'Ol Boy Network - I certainly won't argue that 'Ol Boy Network practices exist and probably always will to some degree because, yes, people like to work with those like themselves. I am curious, though about reactions to the content and approach of the article itself, particularly given that it is from an HR / Management consultant: 1) What does the phrase "'Ol Boy Network" mean to you? 2) Do readers view his discussion as an impartial observation of the phenomenon or do his comments such as "...is not a bad thing," "it's natural," and "are normal occurences" sound like he's expressing an opinion that the practices are OK to continue because that's how it's always been? 3) Would the nature and direction of the content affect your tendency to hire this individual as a consultant? I tried to explore this with the author himself but he was extremely defensive and somewhat insulting regarding the possibility that his article might be perceived as endorsing the practice. I'm looking for a barometer check.
Re: 2010 Social Media Marketing Industry Report Re: 2010 Social Media Marketing Industry Report - [quote="Alan Mater":3vkduro4]Hi Terri, Interesting report. The stats are intriguing. Social media has come a long way, and it's almost essential these days to help build your brand. I would say Facebook and Twitter are my top two. MMO Social Network is starting to pique my curiosity, and it seems I can get some nice exposure to blog posts. It's important to find sites that work for you personally and then build up a profile on those sites. I believe it's here to stay and should be a regular part of our marketing efforts.[/quote:3vkduro4] I totally agree -- it's essential, and you need to figure out which network(s) work for you and focus on them. I'm curious...what is MMO Social Network? I did a quickie google search but only came up with Massive Multiplayer Online games...
