What is Attraction Marketing?

Attraction marketing is a method of selling, but one that offers a more personalized approach in such a way as to build trust from the potential buyer, investor or business owner. Whereas in a traditional marketing method, sales agents are persistent and ever "selling" to the potential buyer, attraction marketing allows the buyer to come into the sale on their own. This method is most successful because people just do not like being sold to. You do not like to sell and prospects do not like to be sold to.

How Attraction Marketing Is Better

Attraction marketing overcomes the "forced" sale and allows the prospect to want to buy. For example, consider your favorite store at the mall. In most cases, they will have what you are looking for in size and style. They are well stocked, clean, well light and comfortable to be in. More so, customer service personnel are available to help but they are not helping you to overcome your objections to styles or sizes. You can choose what works for you. This works because even if you do not buy from the store today, chances are good your experience was a positive one. This will bring you back in next time.

Unlike traditional selling, attraction marketing focuses on creating a customer who will come back. People do like to buy and are willing to do so, but they do not want to feel pressured into a sale.

How to Incorporate Attraction Marketing

It may sound like a good plan, but how do you get attraction marketing to work for you? Online, many methods exist to allow people to find you and to learn about what you have to offer them. Consider the following methods.

 

·        Use article writing to help people searching for your product or service to find it online.

·        Use a video to demonstrate or teach something

·        Create a blog and network to build a loyal base of readers who trust you and are willing to buy from you because of that trust

·        Use websites like Squidoo to help you to get links from people who are already interested in the subject.

·        Use social networking tools to help people to find you and to get to know you.

 

One of the keys to using attraction marketing effectively is to think like a leader rather than a sales person. Rather than telling people what they have to buy and why it is perfect for them, lead them to making their own decisions. Solve the prospects problems.

In order to be successful, you do have to be interesting, unique and even unpredictable. You have to stand out in the crowd so that prospects can find you and will learn to trust in what you say.

This type of marketing method is ideal for anyone who is having trouble selling or is not reaching his or her potential in sales. If you find yourself having to force feed your prospects, you may want to switch your approach to attraction marketing.
