The following is a short list of why some network marketers just don’t make it, and why others are bound to do succeed.

Unfortunately, the hard cold fact today is that most network marketers are not successful or are not living up to their potential. We can certainly learn from those who succeed in this business and also learn important lessons from those people who fail. There is no magic pill here and there is no formula that is not the result of just plain common sense. However, sometimes common sense must be reminded and visualized. The following is a short list of why some network marketers just don’t make it, and why others are bound to do succeed.

Consistency

Most network marketers fail because they are inconsistent. You have to work hard to generate traffic, day after day. You need to work towards your goals for a long period of time, before you can reap the benefits. You need to be 100% committed. You will increase the traffic you receive by putting in hard work, time, and effort. Your business will not prosper overnight, so you need to give it enough time to develop. You have to keep on marketing month after month, and your business will grow over time. Do not expect a get rich quick outcome as you will surely be rapidly disappointed.

Believe in Your Product

Are you trying to market a quality product? Would you buy this product yourself? Is this product valuable enough? What kind of reward or benefit will people receive from buying your product? You have to believe in your product before you expose it to thousands of people. You have to learn everything about your product, all of its features, advantages and benefits before you represent yourself and your product. Always have in the back of your mind the questions, would you buy from you? Would you want to be a part of your team? If the answer is yes you’ve completed your first homework assignment.

Carry Out a Thorough Due Diligence of the Prospective Company or Organization

Study the company that you are looking to get involved with. Learn everything you can about their business, their history, track record and their products. Ask questions, and make doubly sure that they will provide you with all the necessary training and ongoing support to provide you with every tool necessary for your success. The training and education must be extensive and cover information for both the Newbie and the Expert marketer.

Is the company professional? Have other people succeeded with the company, and what kind of qualitative and quantitative success are they enjoying? Take the time to search for an opportunity that suits your needs and one that you can be passionate about. Many people fail in network marketing because they joined the wrong company, they did not educate themselves properly beforehand and became quickly and easily discouraged.

Training and Support

You need the right skills in order to succeed with network marketing. Network marketing is a business just like any other and has a very specific skill set. You need to take the time and have the motivation and patience to thoroughly educate yourself on an ongoing continual daily basis. A great number of people fail because of a lack of knowledge and training. An organization that provides education, training and mentoring is ideal. However, it is still up to you to become a human sponge for knowledge. People who succeed put hard work into educating themselves, and they never stop learning. You can do great things once you have the proper knowledge.

Build relationships

You have to know and understand your target audience. The people who succeed work hard to generate new leads and retain existing customers or team members. They are honest and genuine and they enjoy going the extra mile for their customers, team members and online community. They have a natural desire to serve others and solve their problems, and they never make empty promises. They are professional and they work hard to build and maintain good relationships. They know and completely understand the importance of developing trustworthy ongoing relationships.

If you want to be successful with network marketing, you have to work hard at it before you can achieve success. You need to keep on learning and developing your skills. You need to be able to handle rejection, learn from your mistakes, and you need most importantly tenacity and patience. Successful people are positive, self motivated and passionate about their work. They are competitive and determined to succeed, they never give up and the word quit is not in their vocabulary.

Once you have spent two years doing the above, then look for a 55 - 60 year old business person that is looking to reduce their time in the business. Then you can work on a sweetheart financing option.

A good book I'm reading now is "Maximum Achievement: Strategies and Skills That Will Unlock Your Hidden Powers to Succeed" by Brian Tracy as it was a birthday gift from a friend. Tracy's book is helpful in identifying what's important in your life and then setting an action plan to achieve it.
