The top 2 tips needed to be successful in you internet marketing starts with you. You made the decision to change your life and make more money online. Lets put money aside...yes money is not the most important thing you need when you start internet marketing. Lets take a look at those that have had success on the internet. What do they all have in common?

The top 2 traits that any successful internet marketer has are being: Persistent and consistent. In internet marketing you must know, the least likely is the most likely. Meaning your background is irrelevant, does not matter how tall you are, you age is not important, any formal education does not matter, and if you are male or female..don't ask!

When all boils down to what you need to do to become successful in internet marketing is being persistent and consistent in all your efforts...REALLY! The average effort that most give in this industry is sometimes so dreadful that when it comes down to consistency and persistence you will be able to be a rising star.

Lets just compare like what you are reading today. An Article. So yes when you start some of your content and marketing abilities are not past the learning curve yet, but you consistently train and provide steady flow of information. Talking SEO here Google likes to see more consistency in a marketer. So your article is out on the world wide web now what do you do well you can sit around and twiddle your thumbs or you can view where that article fell in rankings. Were you page 6? Or page 1? Page 6 you decide to narrow your niche/search and try again, hence you will become consistent, but by finding what needs to be changed and start combing it with a fine tooth comb you then rank page 1 consistently.

By getting those results you did not give up with getting to what and where you wanted. No matter how many times you analyze the top producers out on the internet the reason they have successful internet marketing is because they hold those 2 traits; everyone of them. If you want to be successful in internet marketing remember those 2 traits that every internet marketer has.

Online marketing/internet marketing/online promotion are the same, and it will be best to use the common term - Internet marketing. I can't think about someone to moderate a Social Marketing category. We all use it, we all know how to make it work and we all have our own different experience with it.

Internet Marketing Conference on SLife - I've been trying to log in but it keeps crashing.. anyways.. a friend of mine in BC plans on holding Internet Marketing Conferences on SecondLife and have the same top internet marketers that would normally be in Live Internet Marketing conference speak. Income will be generated from admission charges, product sales during breaks, sponsor tables, etc etc.. Just to get the ideas flowing in your head that anything you can do in the real world can be replicated in SL. There is no planned date as of yet for this conference.

You sound like a very enthusiastic person who likes what she does and in Internet Marketing that is very important and you also sound like a 'people person' which is great. Internet Marketing is time consuming and challenging but can also be extremely rewarding and hopefully profitable. I don't know how many forums you have signed up to but this is one of the best. The support and guidance you get here is what makes it the success that it is but as I am sure you know from looking at the side bar that there are many aspects of business that are catered for here which will help you along the way, best wishes, Mal.
Re: How many mambers of this forum are also member of WF? - Hi Kevin, I have to agree with Tanny. All forums are unique in their own way, but doesn't mean that one is better than the other. What you might get out of one forum, you may not get from another. For instance, the WF focuses on Internet Marketing, while this forum focuses on Entrepreneurship. Each has their own set of benefits. I don't think you can really compare one to the other, unless of course they focused on the same topic. I have learned a lot from this forum, stuff I would never have gotten from the WF. With that being said, I've learned a lot from the WF, specifically since I need to know about Internet Marketing and running an online business. The addition of the Online Business forum here will help, and Jeff is doing a great job as moderator.
