Working From Home Online – Why Can’t It Be Free? Why Does It Cost Money to Join an Online Business Opportunity?

“Working from home online – why does it have to cost money to join an online business opportunity? Why can’t it be free? Can’t they take it out of my earnings later?” These are questions many people ask as they look at working from home online business opportunities. There are a few things you need to realize if working from home is your goal. Online business opportunities are not offering you a job. With a job, you are trading time for money. You have an employer to answer to. You shouldn’t have to pay money be hired to do a job. But we are talking about a business opportunity. With an online business opportunity, you have a chance to build something that could bring you financial security for the rest of your life. It’s not realistic to expect a company to give you all their training and information for free. A business idea, a business plan, is intellectual property, just like a patent or copyright. You wouldn’t expect people to give those away for free, would you? They are not going to give away their business ideas and plans for free either. This is not welfare or charity. If you are looking for welfare, you’re looking in the wrong place. It wouldn’t be good business, or common sense to give you everything for free. If you are serious about wanting to start your own business, you will be willing to invest in yourself and your business to get started. They get you started, give you training and whatever else you need to succeed, and the rest is up to YOU. YOU have to take responsibility for YOUR business. That is the only way it will work. Not everyone is motivated enough to get a business off the ground. Even with all the help a parent company provides, you still have to get off of dead center and do something! Many people will fail at working from home. Not to scare you off, but to be truthful with you. Not because there is something wrong with the business, but because some people are not willing to do the work to make it successful. Most people fail when they start a new business in the brick and mortar world as well, and they have usually invested hundreds of thousands of dollars and they still fail. Whether it is a brick and mortar business or an online business opportunity, only the ones who do put in the time and effort will be amply rewarded. Some people give up after a week or two, some make a few dollars then quit, many work hard but for whatever reason give up just as they’re about to make a break-through. Others though, stick with it and they are the ones who find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Not because they were lucky, but because they persevered and solved the problems that came up and made their own future – a future of financial freedom. If you start a business, they can’t promise you that you will be one of the ones who make it. Only you can be responsible for your own future. Working from home isn’t for everyone. You have to be self-motivated. You need a really strong desire to keep you going. A good support system can help you when things get tough, but it all falls back on you. Look in the mirror and ask yourself how much you want this. Why do you want it? What are your goals? Is it worth it to you? Are you a quitter or are you someone who is going to go for it? The choice is up to you.

Re: Kevin's Case Study #11 - A New Forum Category? - [quote:31qpen1j]This is just my opinion, but I consider the prospective categories, Online Marketing, Internet Marketing and Online Promotion, as being pretty much one and the same - just different words that different people use.[/quote:31qpen1j] I completely agree! Those are all just "internet marketing" as far as I am concerned. And I normally would have voted for internet marketing, however I chose social media marketing simply because there are more than enough IM forums out there already.
