|
| Guest post by: Pia Lord |
Article Overview: Building any aspect of your business requires determination and persistence. Like the hyacinth flower that grows and spreads over the pond, our efforts are not immediately visible or rewarded. But when we persist, be it for a month, a year, or even years, then we shall harvest. Patience and persistence will build your business far. Add expert knowledge, dedication, integrity, honesty and willingness to go that extra mile or ten and you have the ingredients you need to develop your client base for a good business.

Building a Client Base for Business
Persistence
The habit of persistence in a goal is the only way that success is accomplished. Neither genius, nor money without persistence will arrive at the finish line. These words, well known, have been with us for centuries.
Persistence is different than genius.
Genius is like the turn of a switch, an inspiration, a life altering moment.
Money is inert matter and cannot get you to the finish line unless you are making a deal on a property.
Faith is believing in your ideas. That alone will not get you there without the action
Action is essential but if haphazard, will not get you there.
Persistence alone and along with all of these other factors, especially focus will achieve the end result.
Do not worry if you are not currently displaying persistence within your personality. It can most definitely be learned.
There are a number of ways to achieve the character trait of persistence: First, develop your visions and ideas into a
definite purpose. Knowing what it is that you desire to achieve, your raison d’etre, so to speak, will help you persist. When you have found your tiny niche, your reason for everyday, you will want to act and DO IT! When building clients, a constant stream of attention to them, your persistence, in a focused business related manner, will gain you attention.
Next, be almost completely self reliant. Choose actions and purpose that allow you to move solely to achieve your purpose. This way you can spend the majority of your day in pursuit of your purpose. When you love what you do you simply do it. When it is up to you, you get it done. Make sure that the client you are trying to help, you truly are able to develop. If not find ways to develop them by learning more about them, their business and the industry.
Third, have definite plans. Know and be clear about what you are doing to achieve your purpose. It is easy to follow through when the path is clear and open. When you know which client it is that you want to develop, go systematically and humanly on the path. Treat them with respect, be honest and really get to know their business and how you can truly help them. Build value not sales.
Accurate knowledge is vital to persistent behavior. While we can almost never know everything there is to know about something before making a decision, the greater the accuracy, the more assured our decisions are, the firmer our footing in walking our path. Knowledge of your potential client and their business is key. When you know what their struggles are, you can attempt to serve them best by providing solutions for them.
Fifth, cooperation with others helps to persist in a particular path because your are getting positive feedback which propels you along the way. Working in harmoniously relations with other will gain the business for you. When you provide value to others in an agreeable manner, you will be rewarded.
Sixth, keep your mind closed to negative influences. It is vital to walk along your path in a positive light. Let not those who would dissuade you do so.
Always keep in mind that you want to add value to life, to people, to your business, your business to the world. Let your business be one that adds true value to our lives here on earth.
Next, having the willpower to stay focused yourself to the duty and actions of your goal, especially when people try to pull you away is important. Little things can deter us from our goals and daily actions. But it is really important to keep on track when building a business or building clients.
Lastly, develop habits of mind and action which, done on a daily basis keep you moving forward on your path.
