Celebration for Your Life, Network for Your Goals

Celebrations are so numerous throughout the year that many times we have gone to parties and almost forgotten what they were for. Or we have gone to so many weddings, christenings, birthday celebrations or other parties and we don't even recall many details about the event when someone mentions it perhaps just a few years later.

Celebrations can help us to realize our strengths and our possibilities. When we offer celebrations to our community we realize that our influence among our family, friends, neighbors and acquaintances can grow into positive actions. More good can come from the good things that we have already done. We can raise awareness about issues through having parties, we can raise interest in a particular business idea through associating with other-networking.

Networking can be a form of celebrating to bring about desired and necessary change. When we network we can learn about others and what they are doing. But we must stay focused even in networking. To turn an event into a good networking goal achieving situation follow a few steps.

First, get to know the person, get to know about them and what they care about. By asking a few simple questions or bringing up a few topics, you can find out what they like. Most people are involved in real estate, the stock market, some kind of environmental concern, family life, literacy . So those are good places to begin.

Establish a rapport with a mutual interest. Find a website that interests you and has relevant content, keep that website address in your head. Share it when the time comes with that person. Tell them you saw a great site to check out.

Next get their email or telephone number to contact them at a later time. Send them an email right away the next day regarding your mutual interest. And add something to the email perhaps a book that you read or an additional website to check out.

Send them periodic emails, give them a phone call every now and then to give them info on developments in the field. Let them know of an event that you are sponsoring relevant to your interest or business. Once you have had ongoing contact with that person over the course of a few months, they are more likely to respond and buy something from you or attend an event or fundraiser that you hold.

We can usually be sure that there is always a party going on somewhere for some occasion. Just yesterday I got an email for a couple of parties in NYC and DC. I was trying to figure out how I could mange to make it to them and what relevance they would have for my goals, actions and life visions. Networking is always and everywhere a great thing to do for your business. Since you never know where you will meet that business contact or make that sale.

Not only are these type of celebrations unique and key to moving your business forward, but acknowledging the little steps you take on a daily basis that drive your vision forward. Have you had a successful day? Have you accomplished a key activity on your daily to do list? Has something clicked for you and you feel more sure about your path? Is success staring you in the face? Celebrate It! Celebrate It!

Celebrations like these are the ones that we remember and that propel us forward to our next and highest goals. When we acknowledge our small daily successes when gain a richer self esteem and greater self confidence in our actions and being. When we are successful at networking and our organization grows, we feel a real sense of accomplishment.

The Second Life Platform The Second Life Platform - Greetings! I'm not sure how many of you have heard of or are sensitive to Second Life and its related entities. However, Second Life is a fantastic platform to mimmick real life business operations in a real currency based economy. There are plenty of successful stories for creative individuals, but I'd highly suggest doing your research and appreciating Second Life for what it is, and what it isn't.
10 best franchises to get involved 10 best franchises to get involved - My advice is: 1) Go to the library and start reading business books (accounting, finance, etc.) 2) Go to your local community college and enroll in night classes 3) Join the local Chamber of Commerce 4) Network / Network / Network -- through the above sources. Once you have spent two years doing the above, then look for a 55 - 60 year old business person that is looking to reduce their time in the business. Then you can work on a sweetheart financing option.

Re: Charge what you're worth Re: Charge what you're worth - [quote="Tami Szabo":292ze3jd]People will pay you what you ask. Very few will ever up the price. You are the one who decided what you are worth. The key is that we believe our services are worth the price we are asking.[/quote:292ze3jd] Hi Tami, You're absolutely right. In "Think and Grow Rich", Jessie B. Rittenhouse says "For Life is a just employer, He gives you what you ask, But once you have set the wages, Why, you must bear the task. I worked for a menial's hire Only to learn, dismayed , That any wage I had asked of Life, Life would have willingly paid" (Napoleon Hill 35). I think the same can be said when setting prices on eBay or Craigslist, especially when people are trying to haggle you.
