SORTING and FILING your papers

The basic of getting all your papers together should take the better part of an hour. Filing your checking/saving statements, ira papers, wills, insurance policies and creating separate files will get you started. Reading Step Three in the Bach book, Smart Women Finish Rich will give you a detailed idea on what to do.

Like Napoleon Hill, David Bach has devised a system he calls the Quantum Leap System. This plan is a discovery, planning, goals and daily action plan with self affirmations that reinforce the original goal and intent of your life.

Napoleon Hill laid out the 13 steps in his classic book from last century Think and Grow Rich which I covered in my series the 13 Steps to Think and Grow Rich. Many of the steps are similar to what David Bach is suggesting also.

Reading both these authors and following the plan outline would be a logical way to go about creating your dreams of business success or financial wealth planning. The Napoleon Hill strategies are great if you need to first create your wealth. The Bach strategies sort of assume that you already have a decent to substantial income and can continue to generate that income to be able to save and invest for retirement.

STEP THREE

This is Step Three of the Bach 7 steps to developing the financially secure retirement that you need and deserve. In step three, a few things happen. These are finding your documents, creating files for all the paperwork, setting and writing goals developing daily and monthly actions that are specific and measurable to achieve your objectives and sharing your goals with people you trust to motivate and inspire you onward to accomplishing them.

A few words characterize people who are able to do these things. The words that come to mind are active, energized, passionate, creative, diligent, organized and dedicated. More words and phrases could be used also such as motivated, taking the initiative, leading the pack, heading out each day, first movers, first mover advantage, and making first tracks using the skiing terms.

Wherever you stand in which ever character trait you find yourself, try to shift to an action verb character trait to begin to accomplish your goals once you have set them. Most career services organizations have a sheet of terms that they give out in resume writing workshops. These terms are all action words. On a resume they always recommend that you write your abilities and accomplishments using action words or verbs that characterize and describe definite action.

Definite action is clear. It is focused and understandable. It leaves no doubt in the reader’s or interviewer’s mind as to what you accomplished. They know. It is stated in black and white terms, no gray areas.

When making plans for your retirement or your business, develop those same clear plans. Keep working at the plans until you find one that you are clear about. It does no good to find a plan, come up with a great organization only to discover that you are not wholeheartedly in it. Something is amiss then with that plan. Go back to the drawing board and rework it. Don’t abandon it altogether, rework the elements that tend to not work or tend to get you down or are confusing to you. Just remember that humility is one of the great traits of leaders. They are willing to be in the trenches just as they are able to lead at the front of the group. And the team appreciates this all around attitude of a great leader.

Re: Time to get rich in real estate? - Hi Ideasuniversity, No worries! It was a good opportunity for me to chat about the housing situation in Hiroshima. This is a new cooperative venture between myself and Ryowa House, the most dynamic real estate agency in Hiroshima! They want to reach out to the English-speaking community, which tends to be ignored as a peripheral market - or even as something of a nuisance! - by most Japanese real estate companies.
Re: The rape of the American consumer - I don't think 'rape' is an appropriate term to use, but I do agree that it makes virtually no sense in my opinion, why the American government has bailed out these institutions and not put reasonable clauses or monitoring on the way in which the money will be used. I can see the line up for bailout requests surmounting in front of the White House in the coming weeks. I see (no joke) that the adult entertainment industry is also asking for a 4 billion dollar bailout. It will never end. Taxpayers are PAYING the companies that CHARGE US to use their services. It's a double payment, and it's being grossly mismanaged.

I saw a link for a video on YouTube the other day and it was a clip with a single mother and she said, "Obama's in office, I won't have to worry about paying for gas or my house anymore." I know there are several ways to take that, but... what does it sound like to you??? This country does not need more people getting paid to do nothing. Shri
