Article Overview: Creating the Mastermind Group. How great that would be if there were say five people in your or my life that were devoted to accomplishing each others well thought out, well developed and envisioned goals.

The Mastermind Group-The Key Group To Form For Your Business:



Imagine for a moment getting together every few days. The first meeting might be something like this.

Mary: Hi everyone

Sue: Lets talk about ourselves first and our visions

Tom: Who will start? Let’s find out how we can help each other.

Jameson: Who’s vision is the biggest? Since we are five people, let’s discuss one vision per meeting so we can get into it.

Pia: I will. I’ll begin. I am Pia Lord. I ventured into this idea through a great book that I read about through another group that I am involved with. My vision and goal for right now is to create an internet business show. I want to have a filming studio where I broadcast, write, produce and edit shows. I also want to have a live studio audience on the set to interact with. I will also interview guests for my show.

My topics will be as broad and as focused as my interests, which are diverse. I am interested in science, music, geography, languages, world music, wealth creation, writing, painting, skiing, hiking, mountaineering, travel, schools and education, cycling, stock markets, bond markets, types of mutual funds. I envision creating a media empire to promote these interests and help other people associated in these fields also by giving them voice. I would promote these areas over the internet 24/7 available globally in the English language, then perhaps translating into Chinese, French and Spanish

Mary: Interesting vision. This sounds like it could be an online live science, sports, wealth and arts channel. The internet is really coming into being as a media resource and channel for people to watch.

Jameson: More and more people every day are turning to the internet for their news and entertainment

I can translate into French, and Chinese to help. I also worked at A&E in marketing, promoting shows.

Sue: My specialty is in travel, geography and writing. I have written for a lot of science and travel shows and publications. I could help out with the writing and editing.

Tom: Great idea. Last year I covered some major sports events in the US and in Europe. People love to watch sports events. But this sounds like too diverse a channel. Maybe we should focus it more or create more shows. We could network the programming. We could have say five shows with special topics so that our viewers could focus on their interest. We could have say a business education show, then an arts/music /travel show, then a science/travel show.

Mary: I like that idea. Then viewers could focus on one show that they know more about. Our work would also be more organized according to topics and easier to keep track of.

Sue: We could all actually produce shows in our own specialty I think it would be a good idea to have a show that also deals with some of the moral issues going on in the world today.

Pia: I love this. Everyone is so into this idea. Lets start off first by getting a business plan, financing or finding someone to donate a tv studio with equipment. We could have one to two studios, an editing room

a reception area We could offer a free show to people, to have them come in to be audience.

Mary: This idea is a fun one. Lets talk more tomorrow at our next meeting. This is a wrap

BNI Groups - do they work? - Hi Lesley, From the members in my Mastermind Group I've heard a number of positive and negative things about BNI Groups. Just like a Mastermind Group, it all depends on who the people are. If the personalities fit and the members can add value to your business it can be worth checking out. The best bet is to go to a meeting as a guest to get a sense of who is in the group and if it is for you. It doesn't cost you anything except a little extra sleep the morning of. Good luck!
Blog pinging - Thanks Martin - yes, I do ping and it has been very effective. I'm currently on the first page of Google for Mastermind Group and on the second page for Selling to Small Business.
Re: On Which Social Media Sites Are You Most Active? - I must respectfully disagree completely with that premise Evan. When speaking of a "Small Group", we are talking abotu a "Mastermind Group". As we all know, such a group is instrumental to success, online or off. The groups can grow quite large too. My group currently has 35 members, but several are actively participating and sharing content.
Celebrity Apprentice - Thanks for the heads-up Kevin. I didn't even realize the new season was starting! Looks like they need to do some more promotion! I've got a Mastermind Group Thursday night but will hopefully catch a rerun later on in the evening!
Re: Harley Davidson Video - Questions! - Hi Andy - it was edited by one of my Mastermind Group members - Mark Drager from Phanta Media so I have no idea how to do it. I believe in the philosophy to Partner with the best and stick to what you're good at! Thanks for the question.
