The Secrets of Time

Time waits for no one. As sure as the clock ticks, gone are those moments that make up our precious life on Earth. But with each season, when we plant, cultivate and harvest, we use our time wisely. And in what ever it is that we do. The same method-plant cultivate and harvest yields the best results in any endeavor. It is wise to think this way. People who do think in this way, do not become impatient with time, the process or think in film time.

As I sit here and write, I value the moments that my brain are contemplating my next thought, for the better I write perhaps the more you will enjoy reading what it is that I do write. The hurried incentive or the impatient moments that I feel are most likely other demand on my time that are not well accounted for in my time management system. For instance, there are those times when it seems that something is always “coming up”. I may have an entire day already planned, so how do more things show up to do?

Some people are great comics, they have an incredible sense of comedic timing. Their witticism make people laugh, they are seemingly always on and at the ready with another laugh or other jokes to get more laughs. But do each of their jokes meet with success? Hardly. Are the superstars the best examples to emulate? Probably not, since they are the rare cases.

To act in time is of great value when we know how to first act. The first act is the one that you will do each day. The simple one, the easy one that ought never to get over looked because you know that this one, among everything else will give you the success you are looking for in the long run. It is not in the immediate results or lack there of that we ought to act. No we know that the path we are on is the one that will give us success so we stay on it until success happens.

Re: My Favourite 7 Boldest Entrepreneur Moves of All Time Re: My Favourite 7 Boldest Entrepreneur Moves of All Time - Hi Evan, I have a new suggestion for "Boldest Entrepreneur Moves of All Time" and a suggestion for your Learning from the Masters series: 1. Boldest Entrepreneur Moves of All Time = Christopher Columbus: "... he saw the possibility of treasure and commerce where others saw only danger. He committed so wholeheartedly to that vision that not even dozens of rejections and ongoing penury could dissuade him from pursuing a journey to Asia via the West. He built on his technical strengths as a seaman to plan a viable journey and eventually marshal an expedition." - Christopher Hoenig, 6 Essential Secrets for Thinking on a New Level I bought Hoenig's book about 10 years ago but couldn't make head or tail of it then... reading it now and finding it inspirational... 2. Nomination for Learning from the Masters video: Dee Hock, founder of VISA. (Source = Hoenig.)

Books that should be written Books that should be written - [quote:1m0dcpd7]"The Idiots Guide To Sticking With One Thing At A Time and Not Doing Something New All The Time" [/quote:1m0dcpd7] I myself am a 'constructive' procrastinator... I don't know if I'm alone in this. I have about six or seven projects I'm working on at any given time. I get one project almost done... then my interest is piqued by another project and I work on that... I get burnt out and move to another...I know I do this so I have it arranged such that once I get bored or burnt out with one project, I can step right back into project 1 - or 2 or 3, and get that a little bit more done before moving on to something else. As long as you're organized and know where all your reference material/idea sheets are when you're ready to get back to work on each project, it should be fine. I also find that by stepping away from a project - I still work on it in the recesses of my mind so that when I go back to it - it's with some good ideas that I wouldn't have had if I'd continued on with it originally. Maybe I should write a book on how to Procrastinate Constructively... I've actually thought about doing that...because most people procrastinate, don't they...and very few are ever able to stop.
Re: Half of 2011 is gone Re: Half of 2011 is gone - It's flying by so quickly! Still have plenty to do that I wanted to have done by now. Time to really step it up!
