We are merely Stewards of the Earth and the Ocean

UNDERNEATH it ALL is the Land

The land is ours to use and enjoy wisely and to respect. Since I have been living on this Earth it is so clear to me that so many are just out to plunder it for the sake of their own greed and increased standard of living. They know no bounds when it comes to sacrificing our very existence and the animals and the plants that we depend upon. It is true so with the farming conglomerates, the meat industries, the giant industries at every level. They no longer see the Earth and the Ocean, the land and the sea as anything except an exploit for the benefit of the bottom line.

Granted the competition on the international scale has increased. But world competition over resources is the wrong way to go.

What we need to do is to join Hands across the Sand, join Hands across the Wheat Fields, join Hands across the Rivers, the Bays and the Oceans that will unite us in discussion, instead of separate us competition. We need to join Hands across America and share.

Stop the exclusivity! SHARE

How can we let these oil companies get away with this type of outrageous self protection. They are allowed to shit on everything and then have a limit on how much they have to spend to clean it up!

A 75$ Million Dollar Cap!!! Outrageous A cap to protect the oil companies from destroying our earth.

The earth and the oceans do not belong to BP or any other oil company. The earth and the ocean does not belong to the government! Of any nation regardless of whether that nation is sovereign territory and occupies the land. The land and the planet do not belong to anyone especially the people who are so willing to destroy it at the toss of a nickle and dime!

We are merely stewards on this great planet. Would it not be ashame if it were this generation that destroyed it. Do we really know whether the Earth is totally invincible? It seems that it is since it has undergone shocks of great magnitudes, it has recovered from devastations before.

Yet in each accident or disaster, death has always played such a large part.

Should we not be more cautious about how we treat the very soil that we stand on?

Ought we not to be more concerned about the species that we kill off in our quest for yet another meal or yet another SUV?

Should we not be concerned that our children may not have enough to eat or even a decent life with the brownfields we have created for them?

And finally should we not be ashamed of ourselves for our greed? We really can live with far less.

We don’t need to develop more, We need to live in what we have and care for it.

Why does BP not care for the health and welfare of the very people that provide them with labor means to work their oil rigs! BP should be providing respirators with Air Conditioners if heat stroke is a threat to the workers health!! They should not be masking the dangers inherent in dealing with this clean up. They should come right out and list the dangers so that everyone is very aware of them. Stop trying to pull the wool over peoples eyes when lives and health are at stake, or anytime

Where are the people who made the decisions to drill?

Obama, Pallone, BP executives. Why are they not the first to go clean up?

The governor of Louisiana is so concerned that his state will lose jobs in the oil industry!. Why doesn’t BP re-assign all those workers to cleaning up the environment and pay them double what their jobs would have been if they had been working on the oil rigs and in the oil industry. Perhaps then the oil companies would get the idea that the Earth and the Oceans are ours to enjoy and use wisely and responsibly; Not contaminate and search and drill in a fool hardy manner, which risks many peoples lives and livelihoods.

In the Berkshire Hathaway Annual report, Warren Buffet is quoted as saying that he would never risk the financial future of his stock holders, family , friends and those who have bought into his shares by making purchases in shares of stocks of companies that are unnecessary. That by doing so would directly jeopardize that existing future livelihood /retirement of his stockholders.

This is exactly what BP and other oil companies are doing that are senselessly drilling out in the oceans, wrecking habitats, contaminating the waters, causing air, noise and water pollutions, damaging marine mammals , plant life, crustaceans and countless other forms of life that live in and by the sea.

What a waste!!

These oil companies are so concerned with drilling for the oil and now look, it is just gushing out uncontrollably. Our natural resources, our resources that could and perhaps are suppose to last for thousands of years, millions of years underground, being wasted. Haste makes waste and Greed begets an evil deed.

Are we not concerned enough to stop this non sense. Alternative sources of fuel do exist.

Can the earth split open? Can it split in half? Does anyone really know?

I hope the oil stops gushing soon. This must be a major spring that BP hit!

Re: Kevin's Case Study #6 - Marketing an information resource? Re: Kevin's Case Study #6 - Marketing an information resource? - Hey. have you done any surveying etc. to find out if the franchisors WANT and NEED the type of information you are looking to provide? What do you mean by saying you dont have what it takes to compete? Perhaps you arent thinking Blue Ocean Strategy enough? it means instead of competing, differentiate (which is what you want to do I get that), but how will the new revenue model work? would a company then have to list on both a lead gen site and your site?? would they do this? I would suggest a coffee with some of your clients and get their feedback on your ideas. Or perhaps finding a strategic alliance with one of the bigger lead gen firms? J
