There are several ways you can advertise your business on the internet for free. By utilizing social media, forums, and free classified ads. When starting a free advertising plan it is important to know your audience and make it congruent with the advertising medium that you use.

Facebook is and has been the largest growing social media site for quite a while as they were founded in 2004 and, at the time of writing, have over 300 million active users. You will open a new profile (if you have not already started a personal profile page), it is important to remember that your personal profile page is just that, personal. Limit advertising directly to those friends, people do not like to be "sold", you can recommend. In Facebook, you will want to start a business page, in order to do more advertising for free. In addition, you can start a group that has a specific connection to your product (not the actual product), look for the benefit of your product and create a group from that point of view. Forum advertising is a great way to get your name and product out in the right areas of the internet. There are forums for any type of product, do a search and you will find the forum for your type of product. This will most likely be against policy and get you suspended or banned from the forum. Most forums allow you to create a signature with a link that can lead to whatever you would like the possible lead to be directed. It is the prospect that is choosing to go to your website and reviewing your product. It is also important to mention that insightful, meaningful and relevant postings within the forum are needed to get you leads clicking on your signature and ending at your product.

Free classified ads are a great way to gather leads that are specifically interested in the product that you are providing. There are many classified ad websites, the best way to find free classified ad websites is to do a search (similar to how your potential lead will search). The main thing to remember with ads are to insure victory, is your title and description. Don't sell them in your product, solve the readers problem and they will be much more likely to become a buyer.

Remember, no matter the advertising you will need to invest either time or money. With the free advertising options, you will need to invest time to realize results.
