Home Based Business--One that will Produce Residual Income
Have you heard the expression; it takes money to make
money?
Do you work for money? Of course you do, just as the
overwhelming majority of people in society do. However, there are viable alternatives
to working for money, like a home based
business online investment opportunity.
When people think of making a stream of money, more
often than not, their first thought is to get a job and earn a salary. But this
might not be the best long-term solution. If you were just laid off from a job,
you do not want to go begging for another job, right? Of course not, because you
have had enough of that kind of security. You want residual income as opposed
to linear income.
You would prefer and need cash flow that you can count
on. Before continuing, I want to explain the difference between linear income
and residual income. Linear income is when you work for money. Residual income
is when money works for you.
Linear income usually comes in the form of a salary, working
for someone else. You rent yourself out to some employer, usually on an hourly
basis. One unit of your time yields one unit of money; X number of dollars per
hour. This type of money is called linear income, because you only get paid
once for every hour you work. If you want some more linear income, you need to
put in another hour of work. If you stop working, the stream of money also
stops.
Residual income usually comes in the form of profits earned,
when your money is invested wisely. Instead of renting yourself out to some
employer, the goal is for you to rent out your money to do the work for you. The
power of residual income is that you get paid many times over, for every hour worked.
Do you want to be paid only once for your time, or would
you like to be paid hundreds, even thousands of times for every hour you work?
So, this is the difference between financial servitude
and financial freedom. Many couples work two or three linear-income jobs and still
cannot make ends meet. It is because they are only getting paid once for their
time.
With a home based
business online investment opportunity, you get paid multiple times for
every hour you work. Eventually, you will be able to retire and let these
multiple streams of income continue to flow into your life without you having
to go out and earn more.

I would have to say mine were:
1. Monthly Residual Income that exceeds all expenses by 110%
2. Free time to create and promote my own products (relies on #1)
3. 5% of all revenues generated by my team going to feed starving kids
Now that is "feel good work".
Re: What are your success criteria?
- 1) Ability to provide for not only my family but their children and their children's children. I would setup education scholarships and also business venture grants to help the young kids in my family.
2) Residual income that is not dependent on my continual efforts
3) Quality time to spend growing the business as well as time to spend with family
4) Ability to create and fund an organization that empowers others to help those in need.
The whole goal is when I leave everything should be able to sustain itself and continue without my help. That to me is success.
Re: Trade Shows - Are They Worth It?
- HI,
I have used trade shows (not participated) to collect potential clients. For example, the Home & Garden Industry is extremely behind the time in regards to their websites. I attended an Home & Garden Expo in Denver and collected all the companies contact information. I plan on cold calling & mailing information to each business.
It also gave me time to research the industry more, talk directly to the owners in many cases, and learn more about what they need.
